Hi As your site is taking so much time to load. their can be a many reasons for that. Some times heavy script can also make your site slow. Also check how much traffic you are getting in your site and what plan you are using..

I think contacting hostgator support will be better in this regard. Good luck.

I see your site uses Wordpress. It could be plugins slowing things down. You could try disable some to see if one of them is the cause. Also do you have caching enabled?

Before you spend more money on hosting I suggest validating your XHTML and CSS code. I ran your site through the validation tool at w3.org and found 18 errors. If you fix these errors it should speed things up. Hope this helps.

The suggestions given by the above forum members is right, if you are not able to to troubleshoot the issue yourself contact your hosting provider and ask them to help you to fix the issue. Do let us know what they say.

Use a CND like MaxCDN or Cloudfalre to optimize site load times. many hosts offer cloudflare integrated with their hosting packages.

    Hello,
You can also try using a different web hosting service. Hostgator is great but some other companies have a better network.

What's your target audience? You might need to consider hosting your site with a less loaded server/network, as usually big hosting companies are having high loaded traffic.

If you are getting good numbers, then I highly recommend VPS instead of regular shared hosting. knownhost.com is pretty good. Other than that, a good caching plugin for Wordpress is a must. Try WP Super Cache, Quick Cache, or W3 Total Cache. Minify your CSS and Javascript (W3 Total Cache will also help you do this).

    StocksonWallStreet.net,

I definitely recommend a good and reliable VPS hosting with 100% uptime, including WHM /cPanel for easy management. There're different plans available both in the US and UK datacenters. If you need an advice what configuration to choose, I'll be glad to help you.
    Cheers!

Use a caching plug in such as w3 total cache. You can use do a page load speed via Google's page load speed web page and get more recommendations.
If you are getting lot of traffic, try VPS hosting instead of shared hosting.

Use CDN network to load fonts (f.eg. Google fonts, etc.) and cache plugin is surely recommended , there's another great one - wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/
