Google hitting my site 30+ times in a week?

My site has only been online for roughly a week and googlebot has hit my site 33 times already, what going on here?

You probably have backlinks from a site already, was the domain owned previously? It might have been a pre-indexed domain and google was crawling it even when offline..

My site has been online for a month and it seems like I get indexed multiple times a day (from week #1)

 

I like your site, too. What CMS are you using to publish it?

 

I don't think it was previously owned but I never checked that out.

I'm using Joomla

I couldn't get the seo urls to work with Joomla...what did you do other than turn the option on?

 

you have to renamed htaccess.txt to .htaccess, also you need to edit some lines of code inside the .htaccess file.

 

I did rename the file....which lines do I need to edit...if you can point me to a link with instructions

 

On a site note I just realized I'm #4 on google already but for a key phrase that I'm indirectly marketing

 

Nice site. Having continually updated content encourages more frequent visits from Googlebot.

are you running adsense? sure that's not the adsense bot?

I have noticed the GoogleBot is hitting all of my websites too. It almost seems like a daily thing.

 

i don't know how you found your data, but if you will search Google you'll find something...

 

If you ping, you get bots. 33 times is not so much though...ping too much though and you get banned from a lot of places quick

 

google bot hits my site few time an hour. This depends how many times you update your site. Google Bot hungry always for fresh contents

 

Are you surprise by these? I'm managing thousands of hits by google bot in a week. Now beat that! LOL

 

my website is visited by google everyday
