The importance of knowing where your links are coming from. It seems to many are concerned on what they want to get but It's more important to know what is already in the profile so you can balance them out. Check this from Google webmaster tool or any other backlink checker tool.

 

I see no way around getting it done manually. These days content is more important than ever and I'm guessing that your 2.0s are Tier 1, linking to your money content ?


If this is the case it is essential that you use quality content on the 2.0s. Further down on Tier 2 or 3 there might be a place for spun crap but even at Tier 3 I pay someone to ultra-spin an article for me so that the content even there is at least readable.

 

Grey-hat SEO is teh best after penguin imo. You need to automate the whitehat linkbuilding process.

Nothing to worry much about penguin, instead of going through more complicated discussion here is the main out line as what you should follow after penguin:

1. Don't use any blackhat methods on website
2. Don't use duplicate content
3. Don't use blackhatmethods for creating backlinks.

Very simple, nothing new here. Just follow natural back link process, use wide variety of anchor text, user wide range of backlink source including contextual backlinks and others, this should give you good boost and you would be able to beat up penguin and other future google updates.

According to me Penguin focuses on the quality & Quality of Link Building being performed on a website rather than the other factors. That does not by anyways mean that other factors like content are not important (as mentioned by a few friends above) but these factors are being monitored through other parallel updates like "Panda".

just make sure your backlinks don't come from banned sites. more .edu, .gov, .org backlinks will help a lot

what do you mean by avoid duplicate content? if i write a press release article or any article for distributing on different article sites or press release sites..it will be duplicate? how many times we can submit one article on different article directories or press release sites?

Well here is my thought about the latest effective SEO strategies especially link building strategy.
I assume you're already know how to gather backlinks from trusted/reliable/authority sites, web 2.0 sites, and high PR blog posts.

The trick is rely on how you make the anchor text as natural as possible.
Ok, let's say your main keyword is "weight loss". My suggestion, you must not creating backlinks with that anchor text (weight loss) only.
Even, if its coming from high authority sites.

So use variation of it, it doesn't matter if the anchor text looks weird. Believe me it's works.

Let's make percentage regarding this case: (Assuming you get all the backlinks from authority/trustful/reliable sites with original contents)

51% anchor text = weight loss
10% = what weight loss
10% = weight loss?
10% = is weight loss
10% = weight loss sucks
9% = and weight loss


I know its becoming bored activity and very time consuming. That's why i believe SEO service will not be affordable to all anymore.
