I'm friends with the owner and I helped him get to where he is now with some of my marketing/seo techniques(see signature). I was just wondering if any of you had any creative marketing ideas that you never got to try. I'm trying to pick your brain but you won't walk away empty handed if you have a good idea. Here are some great examples: Limewire user redirection- a bug that lets you force users to your site when they click to download music/movies/porn/whatever. this worked good for a while, till they fixed it. Myspace automated bulletin- a bug that forced people who visited your page to post a bulletin on their myspace account, if the login cookies didn't expire. Referrer log spamming- make it look like your website brought someone elses website thousands of visitors to make them curious and go to your site. do this to hundreds of thousands of sites and you generate pretty decent traffic. Blog comment spamming- no explanation needed, not effective anymore. Cloaking- generating pages on the fly to make your website look massive to the search engines. still works ok but they caught on. He's a friend of mine. I helped him market that site back in the day when it wasn't making a dime. Basically used (lots of)automated forum posting and (lots of)referrer log spam to boost it and then word of mouth and search engines took over after about 6 months.

Their Adbrite advertisements sell for 10,000 a month and they also run an online porn 'accessories' shop. I'm telling you guys, spam is the way to give your site a boost. It's so cheap, yet effective(high ROI(return on investment)). I don't recommend e-mail spam though, that is a felony. You guys are great to talk to, Marketing is my new favorite catagory to chit chat in. Some moron gave me red rep in this thread and it said "that's scamming not marketing". How in the world does grey hat spam = scamming. Whoever gave me that, you are a complete idiot. Spamming is a numbers game. You find legal loopholes so you don't put yourself in jail and then you take advantage of it until someone fixes those loopholes. Spamming might annoy some people, but then they have to go out and figure out how to stop it, which means they are forced to learn something new or hire someone to fix it for them. Either way, they are gaining knowledge OR more jobs are being made. Give me a break, you wouldn't do a little spamming if you could have a successful website such as Pornotube.com? I'd risk being a little bit annoying in exchange for giving my family/kids/myself a bright future. Let's be realistic guys
