Google Adsense is the best program, followed by Infolinks and Chitika but programs other than adsense pay very low compared to Adsense. Only join for these programs if you have 10K visitors at the least per month. Or else you will probably earn pennies compared with Adsense.

I tell you first hand, invest the time in other way of earning money! I know it's easy to just improve the adsense earnings, that's what I did for years, but I knew I should also develop other earnings, like affiliate, unfortunately my lazyness was strong, and now, when an adsense ban happens for nothing and the appeal is a joke, then you're left starting from scratch with other way to earn.
If I had invested the time before, maybe I would even have kicked out adsense myself before they did!

I make 95% of my online income with adsense and have been warned by some very respected pros to start diversifying immediately or it will really hurt me to rely only on Google. If you haven't heard of Tim Carter from Askthebuilder.com, you need to listen to this interview on how he used to make a lot of income with Adsense and now has to use other income streams due to algorithm changes, (i am not allowed to post links yet, so do a Google search for tim carter interview on the average genius' website, it's an eye opener. His story is not uncommon, the last seminar I went to, 2 speakers told similar stories.
If you have adsense sites that are doing well, I would not recommend adding different ad networks to those sites, especially if those rank well. Start brand new ones. Google has been known to drop ranks when other ads show up that compete with them.

Too many clicks on your ads from your local area will definitely get you kicked out. I had clients who did local seminars and when attendees visited their website and clicked on the ads (they were not coerced into clicking them) it was enough to have their adsense shut down...forever. I tell people in my local area NOT to click on the ads, even if they are interested in what it is advertising.
Also, anything not family friendly on your sites can get you turned off as well as not having the pages that they want you to have on your site, like privacy policies.
Lastly, NEVER have anything that points people to click on the ads or trick them to do it.

From my own experience I can tell you, the adsense kick can happen from one day to the next, for some reason I'm still wondering about.
The official reason they mentionned in their email is a violation of google webmaster policies and they mentionned difficult to navigate.
But they didn't say which site or sites of mine are violating some of the rules in google webmaster guidelines.
Instead of banning that site or sites, I got the kick and when I made an appeal, trying to get to the bottom of it, asking them to ban my site or sites or let me correct any specific issue, they sent back a standard copy and paste email, saying nothing else than "your account has been disabled, so it can't be enabled again" they said nothing addressing the issues I mentionned, including maybe my adsense publisher id being on a site that isn't mine for the purpose of disabling my account.

Really I have no idea why I have been kicked out, that's the worst I think.

Otherwise there are other reasons you can be banned under, such as invalid click activity, even if you know you haven't done anything yourself or asked friends to click, etc..

In fact the reason doesn't matter, the fact is it can end suddenly and in my case it was exactly before payment, so they kept the full month before and the 24 days of the current month of the ban.

So that's why I advise you to really invest a percentage of your time in other ways, even if they require much more efforts for minimal results, because adsense is easy, so it's normal the other ways require more time and effort, but once you crack the code of earnings with affiliates, then it's like when you cracked the code of earning more than a few dollars with adsense. You just need to reach that stage with other ways than adsense, so that after you can enjoy the money coming from several sources in fair shares, not 95% adsense and 5% form the rest.

It all depends how your website is laid out; my advice is not to mix adsense ads with "others" in the same page; google might not like that and won't think twice to shut down your adsense account. hope this help.

Hello writer14, I think that you must notice about all your ads on your website. Google adsense don't allow some other ads that appear on websites same with their ads, such as ads with adult content, so you would be wise to choose ads...
