Would it be legal to have the word ipad in my domain?

    Hello everyone

    I want to start a new blog about the ipad but was wondering if it is legall to have the word ipad in the domain.
    I already bought one and then thought about the trademark issues but couldnt find an answer on the net.
    My domain is at the format of ipadxxx.com

    Any help would be appriciated

    i cant imagine apple having a porblem as ultimately youd be promoting and selling their products. its the same as carphone warehouse having a webpage /ipad i guess.

    id say go for it.

    most probably you will. try something generic like tablets review or something similar. need more kw research.

    When people type ipad on search engines, though, who do you expect them to intentionally look for?
    The OP, or the source of that ipad, which is what trademarks aim to do for the latter?

    And speaking of search engines, OP, look online and you'll see how aggressive Apple tends to be. Not
    everyone gets caught, but those that do do pay a price.

    no, it is a trademark and you are not allowed to make money of having it in your domain name as it belongs to Apple!

    Apple can send you DMCA notice. Even if not a TM or R, Apple has first right of usage of "iPad" unless you used the term before Apple did. You might want to check cases files by Groupon.
