    Hey,

I received a letter from google to say the I had recieved some clicks that were from an unauthorised site. THat they were illegal clicks.
I have tried to be careful. I own a traffic exchange, and do not put any on the main exchange site, inside or outside.

I did have some on the forum addon - and the directory. Do I need to remove those, or could this clicking problem come from somewhere else?

I think thats pretty much because of traffic exchange site. Google doesn't like such sites or traffic from these sites.

Google does not like this kind of banner and link stuff its very clear. You should take it away from the site if i was you. Then write to them and ask them. But first take it away.

OK, I thought it would be ok, since it runs quite separate from the exchange - but I guess not.

Can anyone suggest some alternatives for ad placement in this area?

the adwords customers want true clicks, potentially buyers, and google want to give to their customers quality service, this is why they don't like artifficial traffic, exchangers, auto-surfers, etc

I don't think you guys get it...

My site IS a manual traffic exchange. It's not cheap or nasty. We provide a good service to our members. It's just that I wanted help working out what to do with the adsense stuff.

I agree that auto surf is pretty dodgy, but I ban the use of any adsense on the exchange, either by myself - or my members.

May I suggest you contact Google asap. If you think you've made a mistake with the ads (wrong page, invalid clicks etc) contact them straight away. Otherwise the next email you get will be the Suspension letter and then you're in a whole other world of trouble.
You can email google about this here -

I read somewhere that Google even does not allow sort of traffic exchange.
Is it true or just not recommended, because of..hmm..click monkey actions ?

Manual Exchange isn't good either. Many people have robots which just click any link on a page which might include adsense ads too.

Yeah I did. Sorry I forgot to update this thread!

After several letters back and forth from that address that Crafu provided (thankyou so much!!) I was able to sort out the problem. I can't use it anywhere on the site, but was able to keep my adsense account which I use on other sites of mine.

In response to umeed - you may want to think about starting another thread. Welcome to the dp forums by the way! Drop into introductions and say hi - the just go to the Adsense forums and start your own thread - otherwise you might get missed. As far as I know, what you want to do should be perfectly fine - but I am by no means an expert!
