'Living in Fear (Ban?)'

    Hello,,,

Today is the first time I dream about getting banned from google, do you all live in fear like me?

Some people say create multi accounts so you always are on the road if anything happend? (Should this be the solution)?

Im afraid of click fraud or something else, in most cases "google robot/machine" just sent you a mail about click fraud and thats it, you cannot say this is NOT me, because all of them say the same so you are in trouble...

My CTR is high about 20%-30% so it makes me more afraid now :(

Anyone could giv me a hand how to reduce the CTR down or this wouldnt be a problem since google always knows if their was click fraud even if the CTR is 70% :)

    Thanks for any post :)

Multiple accounts is out of the question unless you have several business registrations and use them.

I have never had a dream about google and getting banned. It's hard to say how to decrease your CTR... I guess just put the ads in a different place which is not as hot on a heat map.

You can always send an email to the Adsense team, asking them to check your site. If they say OK then it's OK even with 70% CTR.

well when they say click fraud is it because of many clicks or many clicks from one person who are cheating ?

There's nothing wrong with some of your pages getting high CTR - am I right in assuming those pages have low traffic? For example if 1 person visits a page once and clicks on the ad you'd have a CTR of 100% but that's totally fine. If you had 1000 page views and still managed to have a CTR of 50% or something then Google may start asking questions.

The main thing is looking at your site as a whole, the CTR is only 6.48% which is an acceptable level (and quite a good % I might add :))

    Anyway hope that helps.

P.S. Hey man you're not allowed to show your CTR to other people...

No, I don't live in fear. If you do, perhaps you should get a real job rather then make made for adsense sites that are against the adsense TOS? (Of course I'm just assuming that is what you're doing, since I don't know any 'real' business owners that live in fear of being kicked out of the adsense program.) ;)

They usually say 'invalid clicks', it could means anything.

How long have you seen this CTR?

I went through a phase where I was a little afraid of being banned. It was because I heard all these people saying "HELP!! I got banned from AdSense randomly!!!!!!!!!!!" but after a while I realised there's no point in worrying. If you're running legit websites that don't break the ToS then there's nothing else you can do.

There's no point in trying to lower your CTR by placing the ads in worse locations on the page.

<Whispers> I still have AdLogger running on my main site though just in case though

CTR is not a problem, if you don't read "adsense tips&tricks" you don't have to worry

If you're that worried about click fraud one solution is to install AdLogger on your site and make it stop showing the ads to visitors that click on more than X amount of ads.

I wouldn't really recommend it though...

Some of your words is true, about getting a real job, I have one already...

I made a site to earn money from adsense, I dont know how people look at it if this is against TOS then why should i make sites? for fun? and put adsense for fun?

living in fear doesnt mean you are doing something wrong :S if i knew google will mail me in most cases then i wouldnt worry :)
