The weather here has been incredibly cold. I don't remember it being so cold in November before. So my hands are just like ice cubes. I bought a pair of gloves and boy, it sure is complicated to type like this Don't want to even imagine how I will be feeling next week when I am at Vancouver... it must be like 3 times colder than here. How do you people stand it? And most of all... how do you keep your legs warm? I am using a tshirt, long sleeved shirt and a warm jacket, so upper body is confortable, but my legs are just freezing
in Romania, we don't have extreme temperatures, but sometimes is very cold outside, -10,-20, or maybe more, but in the houses, we allways have at least +20, i stay in the house in the same clothes i stay on the beach
I've actually typed with gloves before too. Was super cold and my hands hurt. I'm not positive exactly why I ended up in this situation, but it's funny that you mention it because I definitely remember doing it at least once. Another fun thing to try is typing with one hard in a brace. I sprained my wrist real bad in a car accident several years back and had to go a month with a brace on. Good times!
No, weather here is usually very warm. Something is wrong with the world, this kind of cold weather is something you never see here and has caught everyone by surprise.
we are still not getting so much cold out here.. but it has started to get cold during morning and night.. Maybe by December we will face real cold
You can get an electrical heater for next to nothing. Isn't Mexico next to where El Nino lures? That's what causing the funny weather. As far as your skinny cyclist legs are concerned buy some snowboard pants.
Up here in Vancouver we have this neat invention called indoor heating. You can find it in most houses, apartments and hotels. It's pretty cool, you just adjust a thermostat located on the wall and the room and/or building will warm up to whatever temperature you desire
For 7 years I cycled to school and back, 50 minutes twice a day, no matter what sort of weather. Worst days were around -12 degrees Celsius with strong winds causing horizontal snow whilst the bicycle path was frozen solid. My scarf would be frozen too, together with my eyebrows. And winters in Holland last around 2-4 months.
Not to mention it was in pajamas I'm from the east coast of Canada, we get some extreme winters there. In Vancouver now, and it's practically summer all year 'round in comparison.
I am sure you will feel better in Vancouver because they have heating system in every house or 99.99999% of the buildings and i know you are not planning to site under a tree and use your laptop . I know its hard to stand when you are not used to it and when you do not expect that kind of temprature you do not need heating system but i would suggest to get one installed shouldnt cost more then $5000 i guess
