    Hello forum ,
i am a new user of stumbleupon and my experience with it is that it is too addictive and can give you lots of targeted traffic. And if you monetize the traffic i wont say you'll make lots but better.
Here are some ways i use to monetize the traffics from stumbleupon--

    1. Refer your visitors to mozilla firefox. Log in to your adsense a/c and get the mozilla firefox referal code. For each referal you'll earn $1. I earn $10 to $15 daily referring visitors to mozilla firefox.
To do this right. Setup a special page only for stumbleupon traffic so that you can track the number of unique visitors from stumbleupon.
Next , go to http://explorerdestroyer.com/ and get the automatic IE detection code. Put the code on the page for stumbleupon traffic and see money pouring in.

2.You can also push your visitors to download any google pack . for that you'll get $2 from each referral.

    3. I've found that the stumbleupon traffics are very interested to online video game . so use CPA network like cj.com or cpaempire.com to monetize them.

    4. Tag your own site only to related category.

    5.Use google adsense.

    6. Use a eye-catchin headline like 'hey! fellow stumbler , its too hot to handle' or 'Pssst!! check it out'

Hope these info will be useful for you. Thank you.

Yes it is legal . Stumbleupon is a social sharing site which uses toolbar. Here users share their site of interests . Suppose you've a site on anime/manga then you share your site with other stumbler in the 'Anime/Manga' category. So you are sharing your own site and put adsense code on your webpages.
    Thanks.

OK , go to stumbleupon.com and download toolbar and proceed to register. After registering and installing the toolbar you are ready to stumble. Make a webpage specially for stumbleupon on any topic of your interest. Suppose it is http://yourdomainname.com/latestfashion.html
Use good contents , optimize adsnse ads , CPA offer from cj.com and other cpa sites and quality picture about the content on your webpage.
Now on your toolbar you'll see a 'thumbs up' sign. Double click on it and share http://yourdomainname.com/latestfashion.html with others stumblers with a attractive headline and brief , interesting description. Add tags [keywords related to the content]. Add this page to Fashion category since your webpage is about latest fashion.
So you are putting adsense ads on your own webpage and as you do. Thanks.

I used the methods described here today.
250 impressions- not a single click.
My feeling is that this works best for porn related sites.
"Have you seen the latest Britney Nude Photo?"
People that just have to see the photo will take the time to see what Firefox is all about.
Otherwise, if they don't have it already- no subject heading is going to make them get it...just to read an article.

You don't- you create a page with the code explained in the first post.
Put Adsense or whatever on it and create the channel aimed at that page to track your success (or failure).
Then go beg people to Stumble it, after doing it yourself.

I never think of my sutumbleupon page as a money generator at all but an enabler for my other sites. I will have to check with their terms but one thing that I do know is that my sites, when the get stumbled upon do not seem to convert adsense well. I am sure it is because the people that stumble are looking for quick hits of info and not staying around long to read much.

Actually it depends upon in which category you are stumbling your site. What i said works well with categories like 'Open Source ' , 'Web Devlopment' , ' Internet' , 'Internet Tools' etc. Right traffic targetting is important. Moreover i dont think that people interested to 'Nude photo of Britney' will be interested to 'Mozilla Firefox'. People dont like to download anything from porn site.

To get more traffic from stumbleupon quality of the site is also important.
