Thanks for the awesome videos Matt and looking forward to seeing video 5 soon. This is one of the best video tutorials on linkbuilding I've ever seen :)

Quick question: I've heard a lot of conflicting opinion over this- Is it necessary to build nofollow links? I've heard people say it helps to make your link building appear "natural" but I haven't experienced the effects of doing this, good or bad (maybe because it doesn't do anything ).

Well .. nofollow shouldn't pass the link juice, but they should add diversity of your link profile. They are very important to have since the more "natural" the link profile is, the less chance you have of being deindexed.

Thanks for your kind words :) I'll be working on the 5th video in the next couple of days.

I dont pay any attention to whether i'm building nofollow or dofollow links, by not paying attention it keeps things completly random and natural and is one less thing you have to worry about :)

Exactly ^^ I would also like to point out that any link you build to your site you should have the ability to remove in the future. Just in case you get a link penalty you can clean up your profile in a matter of hours.
