Google adwords campaigns are quite difficult to generate revenue. Althoough... after a few trest campaigns and over time you will get used to what works and what doesnt.
AdWords does not work for us. We wanted to promote our services world wide and tried several adwords campaings. Most of the clicks are fake and are not reaching my server at all. The support told me they checked the clicks again and recalculate my balance, although it doesn't seems to be correct. No single conversion made through adwords. I found other ad methods better than PPC.Any ideas of better and cheaper ad menthods compared to AdWords?
these days is hard to get even ads running, i been trying for weeks and no luck. adwords is very hard these days
Google Adwords is an absolute RIP OFF, big companies with huge budget makes it impossible to compete !!!!!!!!!
Adwords themselves claim to be an auction site, so basically the more you spend the higher up the page you go, what they cant explain is why the first 5 from 8 are being hogged by big companies with HUGE budgets driving up the CPC !!!!!! plus there staff are all Jobsworth monkeys........
Ive found it easy to get them running, but according to there CTR I should be rolling around in orders yet 120 clicks yesterday and no orders ????
The problem is that most people don't understand the concept. Sure, it sounds simple and Google even implies that it is, but there's more to it than meets the eye. There's a reason why there's entire courses about advertising given in colleges: there's lots to learn. Having helped over 100 businesses of all sizes with their PPC, I can tell you a few things of why it doesn't work for those who say it doesn't work. First is not using the right keywords and being too generic. Sometimes I see clients who don't seem to even understand their own products and use totally irrelevant keywords. Next is understanding what the potential customer is looking for. This will be reflected in your ads. And finally, convincing the visitor to buy from you. SitesTen believes clicks are fake. That's just not the case. I found that services as opposed to products normally do just as well and often better. If you want to use PPC to advertise (and advertising is always a good thing), you need to understand how it all works. If you're not willing and able to do this, don't use Adwords or hire someone who can do it for you.
I take it you do this service ?? Adwords hide behind there HELP section where after the horses bolted they can say we told you so !!!! Utter b*****ks its just a rip off, I have all the correct keywords etc Im VERY specific in my ad campaigns you cannot get anymore specific, IKEA, SCREWFIX all use my keywords hence why I have to pay SILLY MONEY to compete
I don't believe it. I'm sure there are a lot of fake clicks probably made by robots or the site owners, and that's not because they do not lead to conversions, but since the click actually does not generate a hit on my server. It's pretty easy to be tracked. Truly I was testing the possibility to have a very low CPC, still it does not change the fact that adwords accepts such a clicks and is charging you for that. At the end I do not claim that I properly configured AdWords, but for sure having a low budged is very hard to succeed with AdWords. Combined with the fact we're not actually providing unique services, and the business of ours is quite crowded, it makes impossible to sucess with AdWords. Google should take more care about low budget campaign and not to charge those adversiters for low quality clicks that cames from robots, etc. I'm sure they have kind of a protection, but it doesn't seems to be effective.
basically Adwords is a law unto themselves, they cannot quantify any clicks, ask them for proof, I have had at least 6 staff tell me I just have to trust them, I DONT THINK SO Ive just had 120 hits in 2 days since I uped my budget to £200 a day to see what happened and low and behold massive hits yet not one phone call, email or order yet my CTR score is 3/10 like I say RIP OFF wouldnt stand up in a court of law to enforce these costs, Ive told them to provide me proof of these so called hits and guess what they cant......
Thank for your opinion. I have along time work with adword google. in 2008, 2010 i have successful with google adword because no more competition, cheap CPC, chosse right keyword, good QS and CTR, etc..... But in 2010, everyone use voucher, make CPC so expensive. And now, more competition, someone can use voucher, more SCAM in adword. My customer dont belive adword. They usually like SEO, result natural.
Funny, I have lots of clients past and present who make profits with Adwords and other PPC services. Almost all of them came to me to improve things, some also thought it was a scam but still decided to give it one more shot, this time having a pro to look over things. One was even doing very well with QS of 10 and still wanted to see if I could improve their campaign with lower CPC and higher ROI and I did. Others figured they could make more money by advertising using PPC than only using SEO and they were right. By the way, none are big companies. All are entitled to their opinions. I've been using Adwords for ten years now and I can tell those who are thinking of using it, it works and encourage to use it.
I agree with Lucid above. People fail because they do not take any angles with their advertising. If they're a car dealership, they think bidding on "Cars for sale" is the way to go. It's not anymore. (It used to a long time ago). Now you need to come up with angles of attack for each adgroup and really laser target your ads and keywords to speak to the potential customer. That's the only way to do it as you are competing with large companies who have deep pockets and don't mind doing branding campaigns.
before any conclusion: adwords has 3 types of traffic: - google search - certified partners (big websites) - search network of small sites (rest of sites, usually adsense) so bidding prices are different for the same keyword on those sources. and click quality is different as well. traffic from adsense is the worst possible, from google partners better, bu talso lots of BS. the best traffic is form google.com search, that's why it costs more. also there are lots of clicks from WINDOW SHOPPERS and COMPETITORS. so now: 1. who can make profit? who sell high priced goods. 2. who doesn't make profit? a) people who try to bid on $5 keyword with profit $3 per sale. b) who doesn't do research b4 run ppc c) doesnt track and review stats d) big companies - they just have to advertise to promote their brand how google makes money? very simple: 80% of their revenue come from those who just try their adwords and have no any profit ...
I found Adwords to be quite lucrative. It is absolutely essential to have a proven business model intact to generate revenue. With no business model intact you will just be spending money with no return. It also helps if you are selling a service or product directly and not as an affiliate so the return will be greater.
