    Hi all

    Will really appreciate some help.

What is the best tool / method / software to use to send an email to a list of 300k once in every 6 months.

Advice / comments are much appreciated.

You'd probably be better off contacting an e-mail marketing company, to save yourself some trouble in terms of IP blacklists and finding providers that will allow you to do such volume of emails.

If you are inexperienced concerning setting up your own solution on a server, then an autoresponder company like Aweber is good for you. Hosting with them will be expensive and it may not be worth it to do so if you only need to send twice a year.

Your best bet is to get your own hosted solution and find someone to set it up if you are not able to. Good luck!

There's many way's to do it. If it were me I would just set aweber up to deliver the message by the number of days in a followup.

Aweber is a good option, I use it in my business.
But if you have to import those 300k mails, I don't know if aweber will automatically add them into your account, I read somewhere that you need to send a confirmation email to them telling that you are adding them to a "newsletter", and doing that you will most sure lose 3/4 of those subscribers because they won't sign up.

Well to save yourself some agitation in agreement of IP blacklists and award providers that will acquiesce you to do such aggregate of emails.

His users would have to opt in. I don't know about the 3/4 thing I doubt that. I figure if people are interested in what he is doing they will opt-in

my users are not opt in and i am not expecting all 300 to jump in joy and join my cause when they get the email - i am playing it on economy of scale :)

Just another thing folks they need not have to be sent all at once.. we can drip feed it regularly over a period of time.

Keep the suggestions coming please ... its most educational

You can try using aweber or get-response, both of them are excellent in their own way.

You should probably go for Aweber, although 300,000 people is a lot and it might cost you quite a lot, but you will have to pay just for a month (or two, but anyway you aren't going to pay for the entire year).

Also, I really hope you aren't going to listen to the guy above willing to send the messages to your list for you... and I think it's obvious why.
