Need Help in Google Sitemap

Hello Fellows
yesterday i downloaded a software that did sitemap for my website name called "www.fontsbay.com"
i have thousands of links and the software managed to create me a sitemap.xml

Now what should i do with it?? where should i upload this xml in my hosting?? currently im using Cpanel

Once i upload xml, then what should i have to do??

please help me im new in this

you can upload it to your site's main folder (eg. public_html or htdocs) and submit its link (eg. fontsbay.com/sitemap.xml) to Google webmasters tools

 

It doesn't matter where you upload it. Just submit it to Google webmaster tools and you'll get your pages indexed.

 

Once you upload xml file to your site. submit it to google webmasters , verify the link . You have to just follow the instructions in the webmaster tools.

 

you can go for title google, addurl , google webmaster tools optimization and many more.

 

dont trust third party sitemaps .Go with google sitemaps ,it is easy to create and submit.Not so complicated just like "ssharif" said .It is very easy

Since i have Lots of lots of urls on www.fontsbay.com

and another question that, if i put my sitemap.xml on www.fontsbay.com/sitemap.xml , and submit to google webmaster, then after that google will keep updating ?? or i have to manually keep adding it on google webmaster ?

As u guys Guided me, i did what u have told, i have submitted me sitemap.xml to google webmaster, Now its showing that 20880 url submitted and the status is Pending, is it normal like that?? how many days will it take to get my site indexed ??

 

if you have made sitemap.xml with the help of another site then it will not update itself. you have to manually update sitemap
(may be once a month / three months - depending on added contents of your site) and replace existing sitemap on your site.

it might take two days to a week for sitemap checking by Google crawler.

 

So i have to submit to google webmaster once in every month ?

 

^ no need to submit it again if you do not change the location and the file name of the sitemap.

 

Thank you, Should i make .rss feed ?? its useful ?? and if its useful then how should i make .rss feed ?

 

Just keep your XML sitemap and update + ipload it once a while as you add new content

few days back i submitted 20,880 Urls to google webmaster and today i saw that its written that only 12,363 has been indexed

is it proper?? why my all urls hasnt been indexed ??

 

Put these link in your index folder and upload this link to webmaster.
