    What is this business?
There are certain "hopsitality" sites on the Internet like http://couchsurfing.org as well as https://www.tripping.com/ where you can create a profile and apply to different hosts so you can stay at their place (on a couch for example) for free! Anyways pretty cool right? The problem is that actually *getting* one of these couches is *really difficult* and takes 1-2 hours per city. I'm a lazy dude and so I can't be bothered to do mind numbing repetitive tasks like reading over people's profiles and writing 'something unique' about them in each request I send; which is basically a duplicate of what I sent to the last prospective host. So me being lazy, I've written some software that allows cheap travelers like myself (who don't want to pay for accommodation) to send requests automatically on your behalf to the prospective hosts. This way if you're travelling extensively like me (I'm riding my motorcycle from USA => Argentina currently) you can set it up for each stop on your itinerary, forget it, and then boom, you have a bunch of options for a place to stay.

Tell me more about the logo you want?:
[Ideally] means that. You don't have to follow all the rules. You're the designer, not me.
Ideally, the logo would have a stylized/iconized version of a couch somehow.
Seeker we want to imply something that WORKS on YOUR behalf.
I don’t want somtehing that looks cheesy however.
Please make sure that the name of the product, couchseeker is easily read. I had to reject some choices on my last contest as they put more into the icon than the font.
Please know that the primary use of this logo will be web based. This also means [BI need something that is probably ]wider than it is tall[/B].
I want the image to inspire confidence. People will be asked to make a purchase decision on the website.
You must use couchseeker in the logo, logo will not include .com, and you can use upper/lowercase as you like[/B]Ideally, there's a way to add .com when I print out stickers other stuff.

    Less than 3 colors ideally.

Thanks very much for your entry!

I like this one. I like the idea of a lens; and I like how its longer than it is tall (works better for websites). What I'm not in love with is the colors; perhaps I could see a few takes there...
    * also couch; it stirkes me more of a chair what you've drawn; could it be more like a couch?
    * lens; are there other ways to make it more clear its a magnifying glass?

I hope to see more from you!

Hi thanks very much for your entry jhaye! I hope to see more from you!

    My feedback:
    * Don't really want to see gradients in the fonts; can I see what this would look like with one color per font?
    * The magnifying glass is welle executed; but when the logo is a bit smaller (I prefer your secound treatment btw) its a bit hard to make it out as a magnifying glass ( and not a mirror). Perhaps roating it or making the magnifying glass bigger; or magnifying the couch would solve this.

I hope to see more from you!

Hi kainraziall: thanks very much for your entry!

I think this is probably one of the best if not the best looking couches of the bunch of submissions ;p. I really like the two colors of the the couches as you have it.

    * Can I see what it might look like with the couch to the left of the mark name (couchseeker?
    * Can I see what it might look like with the couch the same height, and stay above the couchseeker brand, but be longer (i.e. remember you have to sleep on the couch... don't want it to be like a chair).
    * Can I see what it might look like without the reflection of the letters below?
    * Is there some way we can imply that the product is searching on your behalf instead of just having a couch?
    * PS: Like your color and font choices.

I hope to see more from you! Good work!

    Hi Irwanl:

First off, thanks very much for your submission!

    My feedback for this is:
    * I do like the onccept of binoculars with two different couches in the lenses -- i Like this because my product will help you find many couches... and hopefully eventually the one you want to crash on... but I like how it implies that its looking for more than one couch for you.... In fact I think its one of the strongest overall concepts that I've seen... would love to see other takes on this.
    * Unfortuantely the execution seems a bit lacking. The font choice doesn't look really friendly for web, i.e. its hard to read. Plus there are a lot of colors in the brand name, would prefer it be more simple. I.e. look at kainraziall or pehulz for inspiration on the fonts.
    * Also not sure what the big black box is ... is it a person ? personally i think it would look better without it and just having the binocuslars with two different couches.

Thanks very much, and hope to see more from you.

    Hi there;

First off, thanks for entering my contest good designer; really appreciate it!

I like the font and color choices... but not in love with the couch in the binoculars. I think it could be really good;... here are my ideas:
    * First assocations is Im looking down the barrel of a shotgun and I'm about to have a Victorian era couch fired at me. .. maybe make it look more like a set of binoculars? What about having a different couch in each sight?
    * The couch has to look COMFY, INVITING, somewhere youd be happy to spend a night and save money on a hostel. This couch looks like something I'd find at my grandmothers' house. Looks classy, but comfy? Not so much.

In any case, good entry and I hope to see more from you!

    Thanks for the quick revisions.

    1) Can I see what it might look liek without the magnifying glass?
    2) Anyway I could get a pair of binoculars on the left of the couch with the couch in the sites or a couch in each binocular lens? I do love the fonts/colors; please don't change that... probably my favorite treatment of the brand thus far.

    Best,
    david

    Thanks for your rapid iteration!
    1) Can I see this with one color choice for the Couch part of the logo; instead of doing a gradient?
    2) What are your thoughts on binoculars or something else than a magnifying glass to indicating seeking.... Perhaps magnifying lens is universal symbol for search.

    Thanks,
    david

Hi, thanks for your quick revisions. I think they're an improvement from before.... My feedback:
    1) I like the third font choice best; it looks better than previous choices
    2) The symbol and the logo portion of name look pretty different... and not really unified like some of the other submissions. It looks like two separate elements, instead of being one brand.

Hope to see more from you!
