Israel was attacked by Palestinians who were exiled from their homeland. Are you saying that Palestinians who were exiled and had their properties looted did not have a right to attack Israel ?

As for the Arabs, they did not attack first in 1967, Israel attacked the Arabs.

Did Israel withdraw from the West Bank too ? Did Israel return all the looted properties to the Palestinians ? Did Israel accept the 7 million Palestinian refugees ? If no to any of these questions, then rockets is what Israel deserves.

There's plenty security council resolutions that acknowledge that the territories belong to the Palestinians and not the Israeli's

And that is why, sadly for the Palestinians, people with your opinion that nothing less than all of Israel itself will satisfy you, keep peace from happening.

On the other hand, I would like to see a Palestinian state side by side with Israel. But, unlike the Palestinians who would prosper in that situation, Muslims around the world, like you in the UK, insist on getting back all of Israel even if it means keeping Palestinians as refugees. (You even referred to it as such when you said keeping them as refugees as a strategic decision). Taking over all of Israel is not going to happen, which really means that your demands are what keeps the Palestinians refugees or as I have said many times... The Palestinians are pawns in the Arab/Muslim effort to destroy Israel. The Palestinians are victims for sure. Unfortunately, they keep allying themselves with forces that are not out to help them, but are more interested in destroying Israel.

Somewhat more than you it would appear!

It is only Assembly resolutions that are non-binding. Security Council resolutions are binding and the resolutions against Israel's illegal occupation were passed by the Security Council. That means that Israel are flagrantly disobeying the rules of the Council (and the UN) and should therefore be expelled.

"Israeli Violations of International Law - Israel has violated 28 resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (which are legally binding on member-nations), and almost 100 resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly (which are not binding, but represent the will and understanding of the international community). And Israel is now in violation of the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice of 2004, condemning the separation wall Israel is building throughout the occupied West Bank."

"Israel has ignored all of the resolutions of the Security Council, which is a violation of the Charter, and by extension, international law. And it has also ignored all of the resolutions of the General Assembly and the Advisory Opinion of the International Court."

    Major Legal Principle Violated -
Member-Nations of the United Nations have signed a contract with the United Nations that they will obey the resolutions of the Security Council. Israel has violated numerous Security Council resolutions, and has ignored many resolutions of the General Assembly, and the 2004 advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which ruled that Israel's security wall was in violation of international law, and thus should be removed immediately, and those Palestinian inhabitants who have been harmed by the wall's construction should be paid compensation for their losses.

Article 25. The Members of the United Nations agree to accept and carry out the decisions of the Security Council in accordance with the present Charter.
    http://www.israellawresourcecenter.org/internationallaw/studyguides/sgil3i.htm

Please note that the link is not pro-Palestinian but from Israel's very own resource centre for law. In the article you will also find a list of all UN Security Council resolutions (legally biding) that Israel have violated.

Me too. A Palestinian state. And a democratic Israeli state, where Palestinians are in majority.

    1. I will look more into this site later, but at first glance does not appear to be some unbiased site on the law and certainly not some state site as you make it out to be.

    2. "International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion"

Advisory opinions are usually not ones of any significance - that is why they are advisory instead of just an opinion of the court. It is late, so I will have to read more on this tomorrow, but at first glance it would appear to me that this is not some unbiased website with a neutral agenda, but one with a pretty clear point of view. That point of view is evident to me by the question posed on the home page.

    3. C'mon, you can admit you were dead wrong on the non-binding issue. :)

    4. I think there is legitimate dispute as to whether or not Israel is in violation of any UN Security Counsel Resolutions. I am sure the Israelis have one point of view and the Palestinians have another. I am not sure what authority other than that Security Counsel itself can make that judgement. At this point, without reading more, I am not sure some advisory opinion on the matter carries any weight, although I give you bonus points for research.

So glad you and one of the resident anti-jew anti-Israel bigots seems to get along so well. You wonder why you get painted with that brush. Perhaps it is the company you keep.

Well the site is the Israeli Law Resource Centre. What more do you want?

I don't understand your point here.

Yes...but the specific resolutions ordering Israel out of the occupied territories are not 'advisory'. They have been passed by the Security council and are legally binding. nIt's clear enough....

"Israel has violated 28 resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (which are legally binding on member-nations)".

What?? How am I wrong? You claimed that UN resolutions are not binding. I have proved that, although there are some resolutions relating to minor internal matters that are not binding, ALL resolutions passed by the Security council ARE legally binding and, in compliance with Article 25 of the charter...ALL member states have agreed by signature to "... accept and carry out the decisions of the Security Council." If Israel is not going to do what it signed up to do then it should (if only on moral grounds) relinquish membership of the UN....and if it won't do it voluntarily then it should be expelled...and that applies to any other member too.

Of course! But the point is that Israel belong to a club. The club have rules. If Israel don't like the rules they should leave the club.

    http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/United_Nations_Security_Council_Resolution_478

UN Security Council Resolution 478 confirms that the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and Gaza are Palestinian territory.

As pladecalvo said , Israel either plays by the rules or it needs to be expelled.

So the website gets its legitimacy from its name? Seriously, are you really saying that?

That alone tells you it is a site with an agenda. You and Mikaël can argue about the finer points of Jew hating and Israel bashing. You both seem to have a lot to teach the other.

Israel is a rogue and criminal entity that has violated numerous UN resolutions and has broken international law several times. Stating the facts is not Jew hating.

In 1993, PLO recognized Israel's right to exist in peace, accepted UN Security Council resolutions 242 and 338, and rejected "violence and terrorism"; in response, Israel officially recognized the PLO as the representative of the Palestinian people

Whether you accept the link or not is irrelevant because the information within it CAN be verified to be true. UN Security Council resolutions (legally binding) state that Israel is illegally occupying Palestinian land and must withdraw. Israel refuses to abide by the rules that it has agreed to abide by when it signed the Charter. It should leave the UN voluntarily or be expelled.

Why is that? You completely fail to respond to whole posts, laden with logical arguments and links. It would seem that you believe ignoring a thing makes it less true or in applicable.

It certainly hasn't stopped you. Mikael, your brother in arms, posts immediately after yours backing up your position on this issue and capping up with a discussion of the eradication of the State of Israel. Ishaq, your other brother in arms on this issue is piling on the links from overtly racist anti-semitic white power sites.

All of this and you don't miss a beat. You just press on with a one sided argument about those evil joos nobody will miss. You press on with support for the Palestinians and their Democratically elected representatives, Hamas, who in their founding documents have the following words:

"The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews [and kill them]; until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: Oh Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!"

Oh you won't utter the words yourself and, in fact, you have gone out of your way to make it clear you do not support racism and/or terrorism. Then you go on to clarify why terrorist acts are justified and racists should be supported.

Again skipping to the conclusion, where are the facts that support your conclusions.

What UN resolution do you claim they are not following, and who precisely has deemed them in violation of it?

Just because there is a resolution, and some random group deems Israel in violation means nothing. It is all well and good to skip the actual heart of the issue and just post your conclusions citing some website with a clear agenda, but you have not shown any resolution you claim they are violating and most importantly, who has decided Israel is in violation.

Lastly, I think many countries are actually in violation of UN resolutions, but they are not expelled from the UN. Do you think that is a UN rule, or something you just toss out there? If you think so, do you suggest that all countries that have been held to violate a UN resolution should be tossed out of the UN? Think hard on this one, it is a tricky one for hypocrites.

..because as I said, the information in the links can be verified to be true.

    Take it up with them.

How many times is this now...it must be at least three times that I have openly stated that I do not support terrorism yet you still keep at it don't you. desperately clutching at straws, accusing me of saying what I haven't. I mean, what is your problem? Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

Are you for real man??? You have been given more than enough evidence for the UN resolutions that Israel have violated and now you want more...and if you were given more, you would reject it and ask for yet more again.

Look at the article I gave you. There is a list of them. Do you think I have nothing better to do than supply you with information that I have already supplied you with?

It is not "some random group" that deems Israel to have violated UN resolutions, it is the UN itself.

You haven't actually paid ANY attention to that link I gave you have you...other than to try to discredit it. There is is a list of UN Security Council Resolutions contained in it that Israel have violated. You don't have to rely on the site. You can check those resolutions out anywhere.

The UN have decided that Israel are in violation of the resolutions. Whether you agree with the resolutions or not, the fact remains that Israel have agreed, by being signatories, to agree to WHATEVER decisions the Security Council make. Whether Israel agree with the decisions or not does not come into it. Their failure to comply with the resolutions demanding that they withdraw from the occupied territories is in violation of the rules that THEY agreed to abide by.

    Yes I do..100%
