I recently have been getting into the internet. I haven't used it much, except for homework and such. Now, I have been posting like crazy and been to a few live chat rooms. I got to talking with a guy two years older than me and he lives about an hours drive away. I don't normally talk to people I meet online because of the whole sexual predator thing. However, I have been talking to this guy for two and a half months now. I am beginning to really like him, we have a lot in common and I love his personality. I recently found myself not being able to stop thinking about him. I feel a little weird about it because of my sense of caution with the internet. I thought about asking to meet him somewhere public. A library or mall, something. I feel like I can trust him, but I don't trust the internet very much. I don't know...I guess I'm asking for advice.
There are still good people among Internet users. Its whether you are lucky enough to be able to meet with one. I think you may want to ask your friend along when meeting him.
I personally wouldn't go because they could be lying about their age. How do you know he's really only 2 years older than you? I don't know your age either, but assuming your under 18. If you go, bring a friend along liek webchoice said or some type of self-defense thing. Or, tell him to be in a certain spot, and if the guy doesn't look like you thought him to be, just walk away.
You're the type of girl who ends up on the news because her body was found in a ditch somewhere. I wouldn't go. Do you really want to risk your life for some guy you've only been talking to for a couple of months? For all you know, he's some 50 year old perv who likes preying on unsuspecting women over the internet.
