Access Logs not writing

Just been to have a look at my stats and it seems that nothing has been written to the access_logs for the last 36 hours or so. The syslog daemon seems to be running on the server so has anyone got any ideas why it's not writing to the log files?

Could be you had no visitors or the disk is full. Or the file ownership has changed and messed it up.

Definitely not the first two as it affects around 30 sites on the VPS and I've got oodles of space left. File ownership changed? How would I check that? I know it's not something I've done but, to be honest, I have no faith in the people who provide the VPS so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they'd screwed something up...
