Hi Mat, Oh it`s true alright and OK the world did exist before oil, but you are going back to the 18th-19th Century or beyond and the era of the horse and cart. Very primitive existence, which will not supply the needs of the modern world of today not to mention the huge explosion in world population. The way that modern civilization has developed since then is astronomic there is no comparison. Modern highly technologically dependent life in every respect depends entirely on oil from A to Z, either directly or indirectly. There is no going back once oil disappears from the scene and there is NO alternative source of energy and power that can provide all the flexible, safe and convenient needs of modern civilization. No Mat, when oil goes - we all go !
That's good! I will reach the age of 18 this year at 16 december and on 21 december same year I will die! ;D cool? yeah? ;D
Well we know that the Sun is hot. We know that if you shove your naked hand in a flame you will get burned. We know that if you break your leg it hurts. Oh don't be too hard on yourself. You know that if you hold your head under water without breathing apparatus and breathe in you will drown don't you. It's a start mate!
Hey. why not? . . . mankind has never falsely predicted the end times in past history (sarcasm, if you are wondering) . . . and why wouldn't we rely on a prophecy that comes from a civilization unable to foretell even its own demise? I stand in awe of what people are capable of believing in the year 2012 . . . a short list of past erroneous end times predictions: HERE
nobody ask for the end of the world I hope the Maya predication not come into reality, if not I would miss a lot of fun in this world can offer. I love my parent, sibling, friend, food, cultural, people. I just can't imagine what it will be if it does happen
naaah, it won't end don't worry It will just change drastically, probably bringing even more death to the planet but the outcome will be a technological advance where we won't need oil as the main recourse for this big engine called society. Even today we have enough technology to make it all stop and change but we know how greedy lobbyist can be and that's why we still use oil and probably will for another 10,20 years perhaps? If you believe they're not greedy just ask yourself where are all Tesla's projects now? why are we using wires instead of air to transmit electricity?
