Paypal India - Can We Use SBI Ac Balance / Any Other Bank Bal to Load Paypal Funds ?

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by Majaal, Aug 3, 2012.

I have a saving account in SBI with transaction rights. I would like to know if it would be possible to use its balance to fund paypal. Can I transfer funds from my saving bank ac (SBI/ICICI/HDFC/PNB or any other Indian Bank for that matter).

    Thanks,
    Majaal
PS : I don't have a credit card, just have the Maestro ATM cum Debit Card.

Nope you can't add funds to your Indian Paypal account using your indian bank account. You can send money to someone else (non indian paypal accounts) only using a valid CC.

Thanks for the reply. I coulnt quite get you. Can you pls explain what do you mean by "You can send money to someone else (non indian paypal accounts) only using a valid CC."

Also, let me know if you are aware of the fees that a SBI CC (MasterCard/Visa) will charge for sending a payment of $ 350 to a non Indian paypal and the procedure for the same.

    Thanks,
    Majaal

    Thanks for your reply.

Does it mean that we can not send payment to any Indian account using a CC ? We can't even upload our paypal funds using our own CC or someone else CC ?

Also let me know can we receive a payment in Indian PP using a non Indian CC.

    Thanks,
    Majaal

    1) Yes, Exactly! (Once again I clear this thing: The person is located in India can't make a transfer money to any Indian pay pal account.

    2) I am not getting your second question.

The thing is that I need to make a refund and I have no funds and I am not expecting any payment in near futurel. So, I need to arrange funds in my paypal using other alternative, mainly uploading funds using my own CC or someone else. I am looking for advice on the same.

Well, then it's better to upload funds using your own CC card.

I do not want to send the money directly to him. I want to upload it first in my PP and then issue a refund using those funds. Unfortunately,, I do not have my own CC. Can I sue someone else CC for this purpose ?

I can handle the risk. I just want to know if this can be done ?

Also, pls let me know an idea on how much would it cost if I upload $ 360 (Appx. Rs. 20000 ) in my PP using a friend's CC (MC / Visa).

    Thanks,
    Manu

    Hi

I will suggest you don't go for this.

Paypal is very smart. They could ban your account and you will lost your money for at-least 6 months.

I have asked a friend to pay my US cleint using his CC. I have the PP of the client. My freind doesn't have a PP. Can you pls tell me :

    1. How can he send a payment of $ 360 to the client
    a) using a paypal (creating a new one) and
    b) w/o using paypal

    2. Can he pay in US $ ? If yes how and if no, then how should we calculate the $ 360 amount (I haven't used a CC in my life and so I am not aware of the basics)

    3. Appx. fees that should incur for a payment of $ 360

    Thanks,
    Majaal

Just ask your client to send an invoice using paypal to your friend in U.S. your friend can then simply using his/her CC even without a paypal account.
