Why do so many newbies fail ?

Hi. I was just doing some research and I have learned that about about 97% of newbies fail at internet marketing. After all you can start this business on a low budget, can work from home, it has unlimited potential and you can work your own hours. Why such a high failure rate?. I would love to get some feedback from you

The only way you are going to make it is by figuring out what you want to promote, coming up with a system and sticking to it.
One of the main reasons most affiliate's never make much money from affiliate marketing is they never stick to one thing. You just need to work hard at whatever you decide to promote and don’t give up.

I reckon the main reason is a lot of people get into online marketing expecting to make money over night. After a few weeks they notice they either made nothing or barely anything and they decide to pack it all in thinking it is not worth while.

My opinion is that people aint dedicated enough than they should be. Also if they built their own webpage/system/program they might succeed as they know how to use it/

Even Google failed with so many products. Yahoo failed. Digg.com failed. Nokia failed to stay on top. Motorola failed. Big directors of big movies have failed. Government elected by us fail. So I guess its ok to fail. Its quite likely that newbies will fail.

It is so easy to start a website and that low barrier to entry means that there is a lot of competition in every niche. Very few sites are able to rise out of that swarm and differentiate themselves.

    Most newbies want results.... FAST.

My girlfriend had a brilliant idea this week, she thought of having a website where people could go online when on holiday, upload your photo and create your own postcard with text, etc.. which would then be sent from the website to the recipients address. Something like Moonpig, Funky Pigeon, etc... but for Postcards while on holiday.

Good idea.... but after a quick google search, there are heaps of people doing this already..... It's difficult these days as most great ideas have already been thought of.

    newbies fail because:
1 - information overload: there's so many opportunities (that work!) that it can be overwhelming because they may try to learn it all at once. SOLUTION: pick a segment of internet marketing, take action, be patient, and learn to be good at it before moving on to the next project, even starting 2 new projects is not bad but don't start 10, lol!

2 - lots of people have "shiny new object syndrome": they can't focus on what project they were learning because they see something else "shiny" and start that project before finishing the new one. SOLUTION: focus!!

3 - lack of patience: lots of people want to make LOTS of money in a few hours and if they don't the quit! SOLUTION: stick with it! test systems, if one thing does not work, don't give up on the whole idea, just test another system (and give each a system a fair chance - like at least a week of honest effort)

4 - they don't take action!: they may buy a lot of products that may even be really good products and let them sit on their hard drive while they go back to "real life". SOLUTION: TAKE ACTION!

5 - they get discouraged: LOTS of people have FAILED many many times (including me) before they found a system that worked for them. You can't get discouraged and quit if you really want the flexibility of working for yourself or you want multiple streams of income. SOLUTION: hurry and take action, so you can hurry and fail a few times, so you can hurry and learn from it, and then the closer you are to you SUCCESS!! :)

Simple : Too much of info, not available in a standardized manner, making it confusing for newbies to startover.
And, there is something called "Common Sense" and "Creativity" that brings the rest of them successful,. :)

I think they mainly fail because they rush into the industry and they acquire too much information at one time instead of taking steps and building a foundation for the future of their company. Instead they rush and have their head all over the place trying to do all things at once back to back. Building a company is like building a home you must have a good foundation or back bone so you don't break apart at hard times where there is a storm around your area.

Most people fail at whatever, so online isn't any different. There is a reason why some people are billionaires and some can't make a living.

most newbies fail because they expect results overnight, that is definitely not how things will work. U have to learn the ropes of the market u are in and then try to come up with a good system or plan in order to get results.

They put up a site and then learn SEO. How about doing the reverse instead, learn SEO and the put up a site. just some quote from The Customer Magnet:"Have you ever wondered what the secret buying triggers are that automatically convert prospects into buyers?...If you answered “Yes!” ...then The Customer Magnet is for you."

Most newbies fail because they give up as soon as they realize they wont get rich in a few days but need to actually work.
