It wouldn't surprise me if the answer were very simple, but I'm baffled as to how this is happening. I awoke to check my stats this morning and there's one ad that's somehow generating revenue with no clicks. I've had around 500 impressions the ad's generated $2...but no one's clicked it! How can that this be? For the record, I've figured out the ad in question to be for Ronald McDonald House World Children's Day. --Jamie
I usually have that with DigitalPoint Ads - 0 clicks but am getting money for it. Would be interesting to know how that works.
Sigh... This threads is started almost daily... Don't you guys read your AdSense emails? Look up: CPM
Some days Google will add a few cents to my account without any clicks, usually every few hours. I have no idea why.
I figured the answer was simple but just eluding me. Thank you to the non-snippy respondents. --Jamie
Normally you earned every 800 impressions, but I do not know exactly... Can anyone tell how much impressions exactly?
Sometimes not everything updates in sync. For example on odd occasions you can get money without getting clicks, which updates sometime later.
yeah correct sometimes this is because of the late update of no of clicks.. but if that 500 impressions really doesn't come with click, you got a nice CPM there ($4 CPM)
If someone advertises on your site (usually via the 'Advertise on this Site' link) , then they bid for having their ad on your site. This is charged by Cost per Thousand Impressions. So you will get money whether you get clicks or not.
is this real ? when advertisers click on "advertise on this site" link, they subscribe for impression ads instead of click ads ?
Read the thread again. Yes it's real and has been like that for ages and you can verify it if you don't believe us: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=adsense+pay+cpm
