My 6 months android tablet was locked and I forgot its pattern, I tried hard resetting it but it won’t work. I have lots of important files there and I hate losing them. Did this case happen to anyone too? Can anyone share some tricks to help me solve this mess?

Use this simple android app and bypass the lock screen. But you can't remove lock, after you bypass lock screen, backup all your stuff and reset the device or flash new ROM if you have rooted device. A non-techie tip I've sen sneaky parents try successfully: Tilt the tablet sideways so that you can see the oil streaks on your screen. You may be able to guess the password that way.
