Does it search only Indian sites ?

 

yes as it said in it. it is made for big indian cyber market. when i tried to add URL they said on pages related to indian will be added but i dont think so. they have to add international things too.. but as said only related to india....they are in progress of improvement. ! best of luck to them !

 

Well unless they get there relevancy right it will be really difficult to make it a success. Also since google already provides functionality of searching indian pages than why will someone uses there searchengine ? and why will someone(and how many) even want to search from pages only from India ?

Even for a term like "India" almost all the results are irrelevant. Search engines are just not for "search" but for "relevant search".

Anyone can make a search engine by using a crawler and making a inverted index and than putting a frontend. Search the datbase for the user query and output the result, but since this year is not 1993, they have to do far better than this.

But ya kudos to the guys for taking a initiative like this.

Well yes you are right search is really irrelevant but as we all know nothing becomes perfect at first try even we write programme we get 100's of bugs and we fix it as times passes and we gain experience in it. i hope these guys will be providing better quality in coming days/.. best of luck to them

I like the colors of it too, except the orange hyperlinks, that tone of orange is too bright.

 

To be honest, I can't see anyone other than Indians using this just like Baidu of China. Well, Baidu is in Chinese, so they don't expect anyone else to be using it. Google has such a monoploy in the field of search that others, especially new entants find it almost impossible to get noticed.

So far it looks good. The search was fast as you all said. I think they should market it for Indians and keep international as a option. There is a lot they can do to make it much much better..
