I have a Wordpress site, and I'm wondering about the h tags. Specifically, about the following things: What H1 should be defined for the homepage? My homepage contains a list of 10 posts, how should they be tagged? Every post on my site contains widgets, which contain links to the content of my site: latest news, for example. How should I tag them? In total there are over 5 widgets, what tag should I use for the titles? My posts contain one H1 tag for the title. But how should I tag the contents? I would also appreciate if there's something else I should know related to this. P.S. Please do not just post a link. I've read quite a few articles, and the opinions are pretty much different from one another. P.P.S. Since I don't want to receive fewer answers - an explanation why you said what you said is not necessary, but greatly appreciated.

H1 tag is important to telling to search engine about the page. You should use important keyword as h1 tags.

What tag should be used for those titles? 5. By contents I mean in-post stuff, the stuff that people read when they open the post. As for the homepage tagging - WHAT should I tag, when there is no text, except an image for a logo?
H1,H2...h6 are writing format fr ur post...they also help in optimization.. To rank your website on google first page generate the organic traffic via forum posting,directory submision,blog commenting,socail bookmark sharing site.. forum posting nad directory submission is most imp as it helps in incresing traffic and creating link.. do blog commenting on sites similar to your website niche.. make your content fresh and unique...above all a blooger need patience and consistence in his work..
