They don't allow Amazon Affiliates to be from Illinois? If not, like V-B said, get a friend from a different state to partner with you.
I found the solution: http://www.anticareer.com/how-to-ge...iate-account-when-your-state-has-been-banned/
That's good information V-B. I'm not in one of those states, but if ever I am, now I know a potential option. Thanks for sharing
That is the way to do it Latson...the heck with these idiotic laws/policies. I, for one am an inventor and sell my patented products exclusively on Amazon BUT refuse to ship orders to my home state (Florida) since I refuse to collect tax and deal with our Dept. of Revenue...end of story, it is my choice and my decision. Do not forget that the choices are always ours to make. Do not let their incompetence dictate your future. Good luck.
Setup one of those mail forwarding accounts in another state and use that for your address or promote Amazon products through Squidoo. Squidoo is a great way to get around state limits as you aren't using your personal account.
All the person in the other state receives is the verification letter correct? Amazon pays us through paypal I'm presuming?
So if we use someone else's address from another state, I would have to do the direct deposit option right? Also, does amazon have a threshold?
You could use a mail forwarding service in a neighboring state to receive the checks. There's a great many options for getting around that restriction.
Minimum threshold for direct deposit and gift cards is $10 and for checks is $100. You can setup LLC outside of their home state and then join Amazon Associates under this entity. Please consult with your local tax professional and/or attorney to understand the full ramifications of this type of action.
@soniji - No paypal. They pay via ACH, Amazon Payments or check. If you live outside of the US the fastest way to get paid is via Amazon Payments.
