I just launched my website off a few days ago and I haven't made a sale yet. I posted a review thread on this forum and one of the reviewers didn't know what I was selling. Something tells me that that could be part of the reason why I haven't made any sales. Is it clear what I'm selling on my website? If not, how can I make my copy more clear so that more people will immediately know what I'm selling when they visit my site? The link is in my signature.
A few thoughts: It is not instantly clear what you are selling, and what the benefits are. The text needs to be in more ordinary language, with shorter sentences / bullet points. How would people know that what you are selling is reliable?
I think the opening line does explain it all in a nutshell "DISTRIBUTORS SUPPLIERS can help you START YOUR OWN STORE by selling you a list of the best name brand wholesale distributors in the United States" The rest I totally agree with you and goes way beyond the points you have raised. The guy wants to know why there's been no sales in a few days of going live, the sales copy is simple to put right, but if there's no traffic it doesn't matter whether the copy is right or not.
I agree it says what it does but it is not that obvious. Is he looking for distributors who want suppliers? That's what it seems, distributors who have or want to have an online store and they need products to sell. Suppliers supply the products. So he's going to sell a list of... distributors....?? Not sure that untargetted traffic will help much. But if he tried to interest people in the whole idea and explained it a bit more, for that price he might get more sales.
Probably your copy is not formatted clearly or you are not focusing on your customer. Outline the features and benefits of your product.
