NOTE: If this thread should be in a different category, please let me know...Hello Everyone! My wife and I have a website called LaNaturalle Products. I created this website about 6 months ago. There has been soooo many challenges with this site that I don't know where to start.Let me begin by saying that this site sells hair products. I'm trying to get some direction on how I can improve the site and thus get some sales.I took the product pictures myself. If I didn't have a good product picture, I used a image that I thought would be appropriate for that particular product. We make all of our own products out of 100% natural ingredients in a controlled, sterile enviroment.I'm in the process of redesigning the labels using Powerpoint...After that I have a professional product photographer taking new, more professional looking pictures. The biggest problem we have is marketing! We've done some trade shows in our local area and have made some sales...We even have a small list. But the biggest complaint we get is that our prices are too high. People tell us that our products are excellent and they love them, but they dont buy frequently because the price is too high.We try to explain that when you use natural products and not fake, caustic synthetic garbage that clogs the hair follicles, you have to pay a little more. So, how on earth do we increase sales of our products? Do we need to do article marketing? Do we need to buy traffic? Should I wait until all the pictures are professionally done before I start driving traffic to it? I need serious answers to these serious questions! We have virtually 0 sales and we don't know what to do... The hair care industry is a multi-multi million dollar cash cow and we aren't sure how to milk it...I realise that there are so many areas we haven't used: webinars, blogging, ebooks, etc...But our budget is small and getting smaller...We have no step by step marketing plan in place. So much that we could use costs money to implement and our financial resources are limited...Serious replies only by experienced marketers who make their full time living online would be appreciated. HELP!The website address is www.lanaturalleproducts.comThank You in advance,Howard Spinney
Ok, you want serious feedback? First off you site is build with some amateur "do it yourself" website builder that looks like crap and has no seo value at all.. which means it will never rank for anything and if some one goes to it it looks very unprofessional. Webdesign is like most things if you want professional results you hire a professional. I have seen so many people do this same thing.. and waste countless hours and money do it. They make their own site on some junk site builder throw price tags all over it and then wonder why streams of traffic are not coming though buying? Honestly your current website will never go anywhere no matter how much money and time you throw at it. Get a real website on your own host.
Hey Howard, I have a number of points to discuss with you... 1. Without the proper foundations (including marketing planning) your business is likely to fail. Spend time (that means taking a step back) making a plan to incorporate all the issues you mention. 2. Set SMART goals... 3. ...with relevant action plans. 4. Measure success at key points and reward/and or change/modify the plan. From a marketing perspective, you need to start building up that small list, so that you can mail them about the benefits of your product so that they become raving fans and then buyers. Do this immediately! Can you write an eBook about the benefits of using your products so that you could give it away on your site...above offer of the month. That will capture subscribers for you... You can then move into the social media arena and the definite benefits that will bring. With regards to your site...it's not that bad! Honestly I have seen much worse. You do have 2 problems here though...: 1. It takes ages for the site to load up (big problem...because of your images)...people will click off! 2. You are selling bespoke products on price....BIG NO! Start the site with an introduction and then the features (what is it) and benefits (which means that) ... by the time they come to the price...they are already sold! Finally, on your sales process...you are getting price objections because you haven't sold properly. Do the above paragraph and then test. If they object again, it is often for the real reason... and then answer it. Hope this gives you some steer, ... you have got a great idea...you've just got to do it in the right way! Llwyddiant! Joe
Honestly, your website is all over the place - I don't where to begin, what to order or what to do. I just left. And if I just left like that then imagine the potential clients that are coming and going from your site. Please built a proper website, look at themeforest.net for page templates that already SEO friendly.
Hello Howard, I noticed of the back that you are using a Free Website Creator Intuit for your website. This is a huge No no! For your online business. I will suggest for you to go with a Wordpress Blog for this type of product. Invest in your Marketing Education and learn some marketing strategies, always set a budget aside for your business. To be very honest, you need to set at least $350 a month for your marketing expenses! This will include: 1) Web Hosting (Godaddy) $10 a month... 2) Aweber Autoresponder to capture Leads for your business and send out emails to your prospects $20.00 a month... 3) Spend at least $225 a month on Google or Facebook Ads (PPC or Pay Per Click Advertising)... 4) Run at least 2 Solo Ads or eZines advertisements a months for $45.00 each! (Total $90). If you do this Howard? Your Business will get off the ground and you will start generating Leads, Contacts and Sales for your business. I always like telling people how it is! And I dont hide the cost of marketing to anyone, just to have them join my business like almost everyone does. I will tell you exactly how much money to put aside! That way you can concentrate on making that budget happen. If you have any more questions Howard? Please contact me. I have no hair in my tongue... lol
This is not the proper section, but I will ignore that. To start you used a free website creator. Your number one priority should be to fix that. You'll need to fix that immediately before you do anything else. After you fix that, hire a paid designer to build you guys a nice design. People are more inclined to by from a website that has a design that's great. The next thing you need to do is post of free forums in your niche to market (hair products). If you can build an affiliate system for your products that could help too. Paid traffic helps but you would need to put a good amount of money on it.
This is not specific online advice but general business advice. You should continue to go to tradeshows and find a distributor or sales reps who can try to get your products placed in retail stores or hair salons. Hopefully, you have a wholesale pricing system in place because the real way you are going to make money is doing volume. There are some large tradeshows, including one you have missed already. http://www.hbaexpo.com/ Is one such show. Although the show has passed you can probably get a lot of information from that website. If you look over the list of exhibitors, you might find a distributor that fits your market. It is much easier when starting to display you goods in with a larger distributor. One the costs are less, but also you gain the immediate exposure to their existing customers. Also, they are likely to have sales reps that call on stores who could probably place your goods. The more your goods are already out in the market place the better your website selling directly will do. Your website is not great, but that is also not your problem from what I am reading. http://www.hbaexpo.com/exhibitor-directory There is also some just good all around information on that website that you might want to read such as: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...CzzZ9BQpVyl-bAfnw&sig2=eRys1GLPK3W_JC0ySZSUQg Good luck.
your website is nice, but it need to have a professional look. since you are selling products, asking people to spend their money on your products. So you need to build your site with professional theme and graphics.
If to consider the design aspect, unfortunately, the site doesn't look really trustworthy at first sight. You should really improve your logo and perhaps, think about changing the layout
