100 + thousands of subdomains. One subdomain by a product

Does it make sense for each product on the site create own subdomain?

For example, if your primary domain is site.com then the products will have the following structure:

    product1.site.com
    product2.site.com

How Google will react to it ?

    Thanks in advance.

This usually depends on the product, for example if your product request a squeeze page with a lot of info then you should add it on a subdomain, if not just use a shopping cart platform.
I believe that google won't trigger any penalty. It may trigger a penalty if you have duplicate content.

    Hi Folks !

    How about the following structure:

    company1.site.com
    product1.company1.site.com
    product2.company1.site.com

This way we will have fine logical domain names structure but and also very deep..

Is it good or bad for SEO purpose ?

    Thanks !

I say yes, if you have different types of products that you want offer
then using specific domains for that product.

Also will help you gain authority in the search engine with more domain
names pointing back to your domain site!

    Thanks Michael.

So, I'd like to repeat my previous question, what do you think about the following structure ?

    site.com
    company1.site.com
    product1.company1.site.com
    product2.company1.site.com

This way we will have third-level domains for a different companies and fourth-level domains for the products.
I don't see any problems with a third-level domains.. but have a doubt with fourth-level domains..

What do you think about that ?

The third level domains can be good and workout for you,
but diversification of the .com .org .info .biz .me give your
site a more interesting look and feel. People will see it and
feel that you are more established.

    ex.

    companysite1.com
    companysite1.net
    companysite1.org
    companysite1.biz

The structure you have is also good, but could stir up
confusion to come customers who are not as computer
literate like you and I lol :)

Thanks Michael, unfortunately I can't go this way because we plan to have 20000+ companies..

So I'm in doubt which approach I should use:

    product1.company1.site.com

    or

    company1.site.com/product1

I like first one because in this case I'll have product's name at the URL begining but with a fourth-level domains... The second variant is pretty good .. but this way we will have product name at the URL's end..
Which one should I choose... ?

Yes that is also a smart idea. Are you going to be using a
wordpress blog to set up the site? If so then all you have
to do is put the name of the product up top as the page
title and it will appear in the url.

What platform are you using to create your site? Wordpress?
    Blogger?

We are using Yii framework, so we must construct url structure from scratch. So, we need to decide, what kind of the url structure should we use.
