Hi, I would say that it could depend on your niche. However, I personally think that it is better to play on both fields. Facebook is much more user-friendly and accessible in my humble opinion. However, Twitter is also a powerful tool that should not be forgotten. You can also link your Twitter account to your Facebook, but you should be careful of duplicate content in that case.
Personally, I think there are more visitors on Facebook than Twitter, so I could choose Facebook as a platform for internet marketing. You also don't have a word limit unlike Twitter, where you have to limit the words for the statuses. But I agree with the person above, it really depends on your niche. If you're trying to start a revolution, Twitter would be more useful than Facebook hahaha....
Both are good source to market your product but I find Facebook more result oriented in comparison to twitter.
It is recommended that you do both, anyway with facebook you will have an option to sync your twitter account and vice versa. This means if you post updates on your twitter account it will also be posted on your facebook account. This way both your pages are updated.
I think that twitter may be a good idea, it seems to be expanding a lot atm-celebrities are raising its profile in the media quite a lot.
True that linkedin social network is particularly for business more where one can meet many experts, can make the discussion and get help also. FB and twitter also be helpful to share content, to get attention of people and also to make the discussion with them. And if one make the meaningful interaction with visitors then can turn them into the business deals.
I prefer facebook to generate effective and heavy traffic for my website . key is to update your Facebook daily and it will become a free and best way to promote your Site, Blog or any Product.....
Both are effective,I much prefer Facebook than Twitter as number of visitors are more in Facebook i suggest go for Facebook as first preference. It allows you to target more specific people in niches and target audience.
Facebook is one of the best because you get to personally connect with your friends, and fans, and all of your updates are seen by how ever many fans you have daily on their news feed. Can be very lucrative once you have a good amount of loyal fans who actually pay attention to what it is that you are offering or saying in your facebook status. I actually made $150 in less than 12 hours using facebook... UPdated my status a few times, posted the link to my blog about about four times and when I'm at the gym lifting weights I get an email notification saying that I just made a couple of sales! One of the best moments you can have as an online marketer lol!
I prefer Twitter, only because it can reach a broader clientele to read my stuff. However, since I am a fiction writer, I tend to want more eyes than dollars (at the moment). The way to look at Twitter is that it is your headline machine. Every tweet should be treated like an eye-catching headline or first line in an article. I've noticed that when I am more engaging with my tweets (emotional headlines), my traffic spikes and it gets around. Facebook is great for making friends and fans, but they aren't going to pay money as often. Facebook is hitting that MySpace area where they can't make money anywhere and will start looking at ways to make money just to stay afloat.
