    Is opening a Paypal account with a fake name illegal ? I mean what if I use a Internet screen name, can I use that name ? What if my Mastercard is on that name as well ?

    Instead of using fake name use your original name. I think using fake name is illegal.

    You cant get a US account if you are not from the US, even if you do so, you will eventually get banned.
    Better get an account for the country that you are living currently. :)

    What if you own a US IP address (VPS) and a bank account ? Also a physical address ? Would using a US Paypal still be illegal ?

    You could use your common sense which should tell you, "of course it is illegal to use fake details".... but if you still were not sure then you read the TOS.

    There are some countries with jurisdiction "other names you are known by" but in case when you are asked to provide ID issues by governement you cannot stand...

    You guys are all wrong, this is NOT ILLEGAL.

    The most paypal can do is close your account, they can not take any legal action!

    I encourage you to check out aspkin.com

    He has a book called ebay stealth which also works for paypal. It will teach you everything you need to know about making stealth accounts!!!

    Yeah, but that IS the problem.

    Also: When you create a PayPal account with a fake name, you would also need a credit card or bank account with this fake name so you can exchange funds and that is pretty illegal.

    Not really, if you can maintain your stealth account than that won't be a problem. As for the the credit card, one could use a VCC. It would work with any name so nothing illegal. You have to realize that illegal and against Paypal TOS are two different things.
