Hey guys, Just logged in my site, have got 70 comments like, excellent info, nice site, good content. But, when I saw in Google analytical tool, I could see only 4 visit in my site, is there something spamming mail or comments? Can I approve all these comments? Leave your suggestions, please! Thanks
It is spamming, those are bots. You basically have to assess the comment yourself, most people will not comment on blogs and will say "nice post", you can also notice that the time they have posted these comments are almost the same and most of their names are written in full, or sometimes their site name. It is best to disapprove such spams.
Hi Tony Yes indeed, sounds like it! If it's a Wordpress site, use the Akismet plug in to stop future spam. Akismet basically identifies it as spam and keeps in 'Junk' until you delete or indeed approve it. Hope that helps? Llwyddiant! Joe
It depends if they are actually spam. You need to check the comments see if they provide links or what else. If the comments are very short with links then yes it is spam. However if they are long with no links then keep it and it'll keep your blog an active look and feel. Their are plenty of people who can go to a site and comment on 25 posts and put their link in the my website space, and you should keep those as they aren't harming your site.
I think you have to double check each comments on your blogs in that case you will know if the comment are useful or just a spamming. To minimize this spamming post you have to update your account to moderate options to prevent spam.
I had one guy who pasted in the entire script of about 30 comments all into the one comment box. Another told me how my videos were so useful - when I've never posted a video. Its spam, lovely to be complimented but since its cut and paste it counts for nothing. Akismet that comes with wordpress is brilliant.
If it is more than something like "nice post" with no links then it is ok to keep. This will add to your link 'juice' specially when you have highly competitve keywords.
In Google analytics the results is late it takes 24hrs to 7 days to show results. If the comments has a backlink usually it is spamming.
Comments like "excellent info, nice site, good content." are usually nothing but spam. Just delete them.
some people try to back link to blogs to enhance thair ranking some just like to spam for the sake of spam you will get that lot but if it is just comments not links attached to those comments then approve some of them
I believe this should be outright spamming.It happened to my blog sometime ago. Just check for a spam blocker plug-in and you will be able to block out those spammers. Thanks
If the comments are very general and you can't tell if they have actually read your content, they are most likely to be spam.
Comments might be done by some commenting software which is obviously spam comments but are not counted in unique visits to your site.
