I am looking to copy an old website from the Waybackmachine, is this possible, I have heard of rippers, can anyone recommend a FREE one? Also will this work on a wordpress website or just HTML based websites? Thanks!
httrack does not work with archive.org - most site scrapers will not work. I am looking for something custom coded too . I think there was a script but it does not have a nice UI - I can't seem to find it though.
I think this can be done using AceFTP 3.0. Just try it out. May be ur problem can solve. Best Luck. Have a nice day.
www.troyeesoft.com/website-downloader.htm This may come handy - however this is only a functioning shareware. You can try it for free, then you have to pay for it. Certain amount of job can be done by flashget. However it involves some manual work. When you install it, you can browse to the page you need with the Explorer and then right-click any link and choose Download All with Flashget. It will save all the graphic and html files that are linked. The problem is that not all html files are linked from the index. In that case you have to give it a bit of browsing and look to see if something has left unsaved. For example, if it is a blog, you will have to click on "Previous" to navigate through all the pages and perform Download All with Flashget every time.
