Hello people, I own some domains which are PR5 and PR6 and Valid. I checked them as domaintools and they have never been dropped as I see. However, I checked for backlinks but it says 0. But when I check info:sitename.com on google it showed the sitename.com which means Valid PR and not fake. So how come the site has PR6 and it has 0 backlinks and is not a fake PR according to google. How much can a Dropped PR4 Domain be sold? How much can a PR5 Dropped domain be sold? How much can a NON DROPPED PR6 domain be sold? Also how much can I sell Non Dropped Valid PR3 domains? Let me know please. It's really urgent. Thanks
it means that domain did not redirect to some other high-PR site last time googlebot have crawled it, does not mean it did not redirect before - you will only know at next google PR update usually no known high-pr backlinks is a bad sign
It's not necessarily a fake, but with no backlinks it the PR probably won't stick. It may have had backlinks at the time of the PR update and they are no longer live links. It could also be a fake that s faked with a new method that is not easily detected like the old redirection method. A dropped domain is something different and drops are losing their stigma since non-dropped domains switch hands so much. A dropped domain with PR is safe in the hands of someone who know what they're doing. How much you can get for the domains depends on a lot of factors but you should expect at least a few hundred for a PR5 and even a few thousand for a PR6 IF they have a strong backlink profile.
Checking backlinks using the link:site.com query doesn't really mean anything. If you have Google Webmaster Tools enabled for these domains, its a lot more accurate. I am not sure why it doesn't show the same results as the query method but I have sites (with PR) which have from none to 10 query backlinks, but have thousands shown in Google Webmaster tools.
