    there is many free cms scripts, but what you need? if you whant to write blog/like articles wordpress is best, if you need more advantages choose joomla or mambo.

    When it comes to paid article scripts, IMO Vivvo is best value at the moment... Yep, it's mine, but if you compare to others I think you'll agree :)

    If you want FREE, then you can simply implement wordpress as an Article management system. I've done it on one of my sites.
    if you want a paid, then try www.articlescript.org it cost less and benefits more
