For proof I own the domain, feel free to WHOIS the domain and compare the contact e-mail to the e-mail address I listed above.

Also, be sure to check the backlinks in Google, MSN, and Yahoo as well. Domains with fake PR don't really have backlinks.

I don't think there is a way of proving it. It's no longer indexed by Google, so fake page rank checkers can't validate the PR.

So it'd be slightly risky to buy based purely on the PR.

But, it's a nice domain anyway, so good luck with it.

Chimaera, I'm not the PR expert, but Google is showing 233 pages indexed. Google, Yahoo, and MSN all show a large number of backlinks. And the majority of Google servers show a PR7 (with a few showing PR6). Yes, the pages are still indexed and the backlinks are all there. I'm not sure how you come to this conclusion.

Yes, there's no way to absolutely prove PR to be valid. But, as the buyer, you should be responsible and perform your due diligence before making a purchase.

In my domain prospecting experience, I come across a significant amount of domains with PR, but absolutely no backlinks. The Google datacenters still return valid PR for these domains. However, the lack of backlinks indicate the PR is "fake" and will fade.
