The best keyword tool

Hey everyone,I was just wondering if google adwords' keyword tool is number 1 or there are other better tools?

 

Their tool is more than enough for an experienced user.

 

Keyword external is quite enough.

 

How would you define best, would depend on how much does it fulfills your own requirements.
In my opinion no other tools can be more accurate about google's data than google itself is.

 

IMO adwords can often fall short when it comes to long tail keywords. These are longer, more specific search terms that individually don't get much traffic but combined can account for more than half your overall clicks. Here is what I do to get an all inclusive list together:

Use External Keyword Tool for initial suggestions
Then use Keyword Discovery or Wordtracker to get the long tail keywords (this list is usually much longer than keyword suggestion tool)
Then do related search on Keyword Discovery or Wordtracker to see other keywords I haven't thought of (for example, a related search on puppies may return terms like pets, dogs, canines, etc)
Then get the long tail keywords for each one of these relevant related search terms.
Then do a competitive analysis on your competitor's website. There are many tools out there that help you find out what search terms drive the most traffic to your competitor's websites.

Of course, all this just helps you build your keyword list and does not mention grouping keywords by theme, placing them in niche adgroups and writing custom ads for each adgroup, using match types effectively and tracking conversions by keywords (and not just adgroups).

 

Google adwords is the best keyword tool. But if you want to go for better ones,
then you should try market samurai or Traffic travis. Traffic Travis is also free.

Google.com/adwords is good tool to choose the keywords. till now i have used many tools but I'm not getting satisfied with other tools and at the same time Google adwords done some changes. i would like to refer Google adwords.

 

I use wordtracker since 2003, better than adwords, also give a try to access keyword spy or market samurai

 

If you from europe or SNG you can try Yandex.wordstat very great tool to find keywords, but maybe it willbe works for USA too, can try it)

 

I´m using the Google suggestion tool in combination with the Wordtracker tool. I own a TrafficTravis copy as well, but I use it more to monitor rankings.

I got some great results from using the Google suggestions too. This may be the easiest way to start.

 

I use google adwords and so far I am satisfied with the benefits of it.
I haven't tried wordtracker but maybe I got to try it sometime

 

Is TrafficTravis simliar to Market Samauri?? I've heard really good things on the latter.
