When do we expect next PR update?

If you look at the previous trend then it seems that it can happen between dec 06 to jan 07.. but no gurantee..

Yes, I think the next PR update will be in Jan 2007. I have a little proof about this coz I start Yahoo Forum in 7th Nov 2005 and I didnt had any updates till dec. My PR level got changed in update which was in Jan 2006. So, if we go by my way then then the new update is scheduled for Jan 2007.

 

I don't know why you guy's are talking about this as it is NOT important

 

Maybe it isn't important to you, but it is for so many others.

 

Why though??

 

Because we can make more money if our PR is higher. People pay more for links, for ads, and you get more money from some other advertising schemes even if your PR only goes up one notch.

 

Because several, infact more than several people evaluate link's worth of a site based on PR. Thus PR alone is a single factor for a multi thousand dollars busines.
And something which controls multi thousands dollars is important.

 

Really I don't care when the update occurs.

I care more about when the "snapshot in time" occurs. Thats one piece of info that I'd really like to know.

For the last PR update in October the data came from late July which really sucks since I spent sometime in August working on a site. In the past the snapshots occurred around one month in advance.

So really its the snapshot thats important and I'm guessing early December for an update that will appear in Jan. 2007.

Get those links now and hope they get cached before the "snapshot".

i find that MSN crawls our website much more frequently than Google. I wonder why that is. I noticed this on all of our sites.

I'm still seeing jumping of PR between old and new on all of my sites.

 

How do you know that it was in July? That seems an awful long period between the snapshot and the update. If that is accurate, then Google could be doing another snapshot right now. Yikes!

 

@ Matt, take some time to read through the thread when the last update occurred. That will answer your question. If you might have noticed, sites launched in August never got a PR.
