Where can I sell my website(s)?

    Hi,

I have pretty much hit the online gold mine and built up a business within the past year. Things are going pretty well for me, and I don't have the time any more to maintain some of my websites. I spent so much time developing the software and scripts for some of my websites and hate to see them just sit there. One of my websites that I posted up for sale on here the other day is very valuable and would make a new owner very happy, so I hate to see it just sit there and get no attention when it can really lift somebody off of their feet.

So I am looking for marketplaces online where people sell their websites. I mean like serious buyers and sellers who are willing to pay a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Posting my websites on here is worthless because (no offense to anybody) nobody on here is going to pay as much as I am asking. I just don't think DP'ers will see the potential in some of them and just won't have the money.

So does anybody know of some good high traffic websites that I can sell my websites on, other than here?

    Thanks!

Thanks buddy! Sucks they charge you $29 to post on there though, I don't like that business model I think they would get more posts if they charged the $29 fee plus the 5% after it sells. Why would anybody want to pay thirty bucks not even knowing if their site will sell. Oh well, I'm not sweating it I'm sure it will go soon.

Does anybody else have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Flippa is really the most popular and quality service for that deal. But if you're looking for some alternatives, try quietlightbrokeage.com

Yep, flippa is the best one currently out there. $29 is a small price to pay to market your websites, works well if you are selling multiple websites.

Flippa has to be seen as the market leader for selling site, you mention about DP being a bad place to sell sites due to no one having the funds to buy your highend sites but you seem to be highlighting the the fact of spending $29 as a bad move i would agree that your site/s may not sell but at least you have a much better chance of connecting with a potential new owner who may well have the type of money that you are asking for your site.

Remember the old saying 'you have to speculate to accumilate' i would think applies with this one,but of course i could well have it all wrong.

I have read somewhere that you can sell your websites on eBay and Craigslist as well. Can give it a try...

With flippa you still have to write a good sales pitch to get the buyers with money. It's a great marketplace though if you have a good property and know how to entice buyers.

Flippa, only legitimate place, but IF you run your auctions correctly, you WILL make what you are asking.

Sedo, Craigslist, Flippa... I also don't like the fact that Flippa charges 29$ - either way, if your website has a lot of traffic you will be able to sell it for a good price on Flippa.

I have no doubts that Flippa is the best place to sell your websites.

Then you have some Forums like for example Namepros or DNF.

If your websites are worth a lot more than $29 who cares about their charge.................... IF you don't agree to the 5% then go elsewhere.

There is a saying in UK business...

    'Penny shy, pound (£) foolish'

That essentially means, if you hold back on the money needed to deliver the moolah, then you are going to fall short of your full potential...so don't be afraid to invest properly early on!
