It seems that yahoo search now is merged with bing. So bing does the search work for Yahoo.

When yahoo search and MSN merged they gave it name "BING" in order to compete Google search but failed badly.

Yahoo and Bing are completely different search engines with their own algorithms.

No absolutely not, yahoo and bing are different search engines, they are not same. You need not have any doubt about that.

Yahoo! Search is now powered by Bing. But that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s no need to track both.

They are different but display very similar results. I just did a comparison between Yahoo and Bing for the name of several of my sites and looked at the first page results returned, about 75-80% of the first page results were the same. But they did not match 100%, I believe Yahoo and Bing share crawling resources etc. in order to try and compete with Google.

You are making yourself look foolish here by being so arrogant when what you are saying is not completely right either. Bing did not buy Yahoo. Yahoo search is powered by Bing, but Yahoo is still an independent publicly traded company. Microsoft did try to buy Yahoo, but they haggled offer the price and the deal fell through. Then the search alliance happened.
