Tomorrow is going to be one of the most important day for the People who live Physics. CERN is going to announce the existence of the
the "God Particle" or Higgs Boson tomorrow. This would surely clear lot of doubts which people have regarding God and Science. Lets see what
they are going to come up with..

Just saw the news about this in Aljazeera.com, it's definitely going to be an important discovery if they find it.

The only thing that the announcement will do is finish up the Standard Model . Calling the Higgs the God Particle is just another media hype . According to the chest-beaters we should have all died from the ato singularities the LHC generates .

Oh yes, it will complete the missing element of the Standard Model, but this would surely give amazing insights regarding the creation of the universe and information
about those moments which occurred immediately after the Bing Bang.

Well the name God Particle is not that bad, after all this missing element will describe who gets what. Forget about the chest beaters they will always be there, LHC
is a machine which the whole mankind should be proud off..

Yes the hole mankind should be proud but instead those outside the EU are mostly envious . The US just tried 2 days ago to steal CERN's laurels .

If the Higgs is confirmed it will permit further theoretical research and it will allow the LHC to focus on further projects that will transform the Standard Model from theory to law .

Proud of? It should be destroyed! If the scientists prove the big bang to be real, it will do damage to the credibility of every Abrahamic religion that tells us the world was created in 7 days, or 7000 years! We cannot have more people abandoning their faith for the false god of science!

I really enjoyed that last "discovery" by CERN:

Scientists at CERN shocked the science world when they announced particles traveling faster than the speed of light

Hehe. They've already run that one to ground. Turned out to be an instrumentation error, or something of the sort. Theory of relativity still holding solid.

I hope they really found something this time and not just a smudge on a camera lens or something.

Well scientists are saying that they are 99.99 percent sure this time. All prominent scientists including Peter Higgs would be there to address the press conference.
Lets hope this time - they really join all the missing points of the Standard Model.

Well they did found a new particle that is the heaviest boson ever discovered , but it will take at least 6 more months to determine it's properties . Given the fact that the Standard Model explains only 4% of the mass in the Universe we still have a long way to go . However when finished this discovery will eliminate a lot of alternative theories .

It's certainly not what we hoped for but given the fact that it is the first real advancement in quantum physics in the past 40 years it is progress .

And then they will discover a whole new world inside this particle.
