Just stick to search engine's guidelines and don't get involved in black hat practices. Have patience and do all the normal activities like social bookmarking, directory submission, blogging etc.

 

First of all start off page optimization from searching engine submissions and gradually, take off. Blog commenting, social bookmarking, links submissions and article submissions. Dot forget that always you have to get quality back links.
