hi everybody, I just appeared in this forum a few weeks ago and I noticed that they are quite a lot of members who aren't native English speakers. So wouldn't it be convenient and efficient to create a new subcategory dedicated to items in relation with other languages : Link exchange in a specific language between french or spanish or any countries speakers... Ask for help in case of interrogation about a word or a sentence. Searching for directories in a specific country... etc... Of course this sucategory has not to be a restricted area and I'm sure that some members from Dakota, New Zealand, Wales etc... will be happy to find easily and rapidly someone who could help them more rapidly in this specific space. Of course, the shared language must remain English (let's think of moderator's job). But when contact is established between people who decide about a possible partnership they will be able to continue with MP i'm waiting for opinions of moderators and members.
So you now want a Regional Link Exchange sub forum or category?? Nah... Not happening matey. If you would like to do a link exchange with a french website just mention so in the Title of ur thread - dont u think that will sum up what you are trying to suggest??
Is my English so bad or haven't you exactly understood the meaning of my thread ? I am not absolutly in search for link exchange with french websites. Living in France I know how to do that... But yes, why not I could be interested by link exchange with website in french language, there is a slight difference which I hope appears to you now. Did you read my thread completely ? For instance, I propose (and it's not exhautive) to help someone who would search directories in French quite a lot of them are free, with good PR and without reciprocical links in return. Do you know them ? I don't think so, but I do it... certainly you need not to know them but are you sure it's the same for all the other members who live in your own country ? Maybe you're not interested by this item, I can admit it. I think you expect my reaction. So when you read this post could you explain me what's the meaning of "not happening matey" ? And in my question you can find a new good reason for me to propose this subcategory !
Hey its nothing personal - just that your suggestion might be good from your perspective.. but if you want to help ppl finding resources in any regional language.. you can start a service and label it : Free service in finding French Resources or any regional language
I think it's better this way. English it is been used for this and it's a good way to learn or improve language skiils...
Hi, I never thought it was personnal. But understand that, it's a natural reaction for anyone who doesn't exactly know an environment to search in a background which he is familiar with. When you propose . In what category have I to place it ? Can you forecast all the possible questions about such a subject ? I'm not sure. Personnaly I don't feel able to do it. If a guy is in search of something in relation with Italy (a site about geography, etc) to feed his website, where would be the best place to ask his question ? Don't you think it would be so convenient to think "well there's a category with a lot of strangers, in that place I'll have some chance to find my informations". Now it's just my opinion, maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. to be continued
I think this can be useful for people like me, who aren't native English speakers! But there must be enough people, a subcategory for 20 Dutch speaking members isn't good.
Well I understand exactly where you are coming from and appreciate your purpose. But still feel therez no need for it.. if you need some info just go straight ahead and post it in the most relevant section ...
