Who said I was being funny? You can just say that you don't need to answer my question if you don't want to :)

I'm pretty sure that 'Grimm' is a username and not an 'Atheist user'. If you asked it with 'who' then it would have been different. :)

PS. Don't call me "dear". That is really creepy dude OR unless you're one of those Indian webmasters who often uses the term to almost anyone in the internet.

Do you think 'faith' is a good thing?

Not necessarily. There could be many explanations for the abiogenesis. Far more than the two you gave.

Really!!! Well please feel free to supply your evidence that before 'BB' there was 'nothing'.

No it doesn't. It requires no 'faith' what so ever. When there is no verifiable evidence for something then non-belief is the default position. Do you have 'faith' that mermaids or pixies don't exist? Of course you don't! You have no belief in them because you see no verifiable evidence for either...there is no 'faith' involved at all.

Who says it did come form 'nothing'? You are making the classic creationist mistake of noting that the universe exists and then immediately jumping to the unfounded assumption that there must have been a time when it didn't exist. There is no evidence that, before our present universe, there was 'nothing'. The universe may well have always existed in some form or other.

You seem to have problems envisaging a universe that has always existed but don't seem to have any problem whatsoever envisaging your god always existing.

Zeus, Dionysus, Brahma, Allah, the Magic Mermaid, aliens, Zoroaster, Shiva........ Can you prove that any of them didn't.

Hey pseudo science guy , the Big Bang is the moment when the space time continuum began your aliens , if you're going for the standard definition they wouldn't have existed . Get your facts right .

There is evidence that points toward an explosion starting the current universe. What was there before, if anything, is not known. To claim that there was 'nothing' before BB is pure speculation.

We know that there was no space-time continuum before the Big Bang . Aliens in the standard definition are beings that evolved on planets in the current universe . While atemporal existence is possible it cannot include aliens .

There's no scientific evidence of your great great great great great great great grand father. Doesn't mean he did not exist.

Unless his great great great great great great great grand mother was virgin Mary, his existence is the proof. :)

We know that it was impossible for time as we know it to exist before the Big Bang .

Well, neither I'm taking part in this discussion as a religious man or scientist nor I believe in miracles and innovations, I just have a question bugging me since years...

can anyone tell me, where the matter that by any mean took part in BIG BANG came from ? How the big bang was initiated ? there must be something that existed prior to BIG BANG that is why it happened. In his theory Einstein said, there was an infinitesimal volume with extremely high density and temperature that initiated the Big Bang and afterward became entire universe, Stephen hawking, with some minor and negligible modification, accept the same theory in his book "The brief history of time: From big bang to black hole". But no one has yet been able to describe about that infinitesimal volume with extremely high density and temperature. Where did it came from ? and how the hell did it managed to condense to that infinitesimally small size with an extremely high temperature ? as far as I can think there was no outer pressure like atmospheric, water, plasma or any goddamn pressure that can make the entire universe to shrink to that small size. then what was that ?
Are you able to explain it ?

You do know that you are using an Islamic philosophical argument known as the Kalaam Cosmological Argument, don't you? So much for "hating Islam", eh?
