I have been informed of how important to get your website listed in DMOZ, and how difficult it is. In fact, i failed the first time. Frustrated though, i sumbitted to it a few days ago. And I am waitting.

@lonking and etaaffair: Both of you read the T&C that you agreed during the URL suggestion process didn't you? They explain what types of website we do/don't list and also forbid making more than one suggestion of a URL.

The sticky 101 thread at the top of this forum also provides useful information.

If its guideline compliant, it will be listed, but could be several years before a volunteer offers to edit that section and wants to use the suggestions pool as their resource, sorry.

I think that anyone bothering to ask if they should resubmit should just be told yes, and to do so often. the quicker they are removed from the internet genepool the better.

You actually not only got approved after submitting several times, but you also got a confirmation email over it? Can you share it (remove any & all personal tidbits please, I just wanna see what one looks like?)

Yes if you resubmit it goes in the front end and may push your old submission out the back end where all the editors are!

    Push hard!

PR is of no concern when we review a website. The major criteria is unique content.

Dmoz contains so many dead sites and I don't think nowadays any wait-age of Dmoz at Google. I have seen lots of scrape sites are listed in Dmoz. I think we don't need to waste our time to submit site and wait for infinitive time period. Better go for another options of off page seo is the best idea.
