Disappointing Godaddy hosting

I signed up for Ultimate Godaddy plan for 3 years and most of the time my site is not accessible. When I talk to them they say there is no problem at all. I check the status of my website and it will be saying that website is down but when I contact the support, itll say no issues at all.

When I send them the ping reports there is an almost 300ms time to look up a domain and they say its fine, no problem. And half the times my website would time out when loading a page and will get really slow.

This is really really disappointing, please suggest me a quality host, I cannot spend much now, ill have to get a refund from Godaddy. Thanks

Do you want something that is closer to you? Since Godaddy is in the US, it is quite far and would explain the high latency. You might try for something closer.

There are lot of negative reviews on GoDaddy web hosting. Check for reviews on each web host and make a decision yourself. But don't decide a web host to host your site just by checking reviews of one web site. Some sites have fake reviews.

You definitely don't want to deal with GoDaddy for hosting. They have horrid reviews for their hosting.

GoDaddy is good at what they are meant to do - sell domain names. GoDaddy hosting is unbelievably bad, and lacks behind almost every other hosting company on the web, even on prices.

I suggest you use a well reputable dedicated web host such as Host Gator, or even Lunar Pages.

I think the problem comes from your Internet Service Provider !
Just check if your website still accessible from outside your contry or using an other ISP's connection.

I too have heard bad reviews of go daddy from other forums. I currently have baby plan from host gator where I have 6 websites. We can have unlimited number of domains :) too in baby plan. Godaddy is best for domain names.

Hi, As You Say that Your Sites page takes much time to load, Have you checked your Internet Connection as Godaddy Officials said that everything is fine. Sometime Your Internet Connection may be Starts problem in Loading a website.

I agree that Godaddy is more of the place to buy your domains. As a host I have not heard too many good things about them. When you choose your hosting provider consider searching for a provider that specializes in hosting. You want to look for a host that has a good reputation for reliable and affordable hosting with excellent customer and technical support services.

I do not think that they have a DC in Singapore. I guess Softlayer has a recently opened DC in SG.

That would be a DNS, not hosting issue (and godaddy DNS has proven to be as reliable as their domain registration services)
You may try accessing your website via proxy (you can use google translate for example for it). Your problems might be related to your location or your ISP

Well this company is quite big and there is no way not to have many dissatisfied customers. I've read awful review about their web hosting service. Plus what they have advertised as "4G hosting" totally lack technical specification.

Try to access your site from some other locations. Ask your friends in other region and ask them to try your website.

I had used their shared hosting for almost 3 years before I moved to an VPS. I don't remember having any problem. I had perfect uptime and sites were loading fast. It was a forum I had there plus couple of other sites. Their control panel was kinda slow and They don't babysit their users. Most of the time I figured all problems by my self before they helped. Their service is good.
