DP is too huge for moderators to monitor everything. But you can do your part by alerting DP moderator if you see threads/post that is abusive and you feel that those post do not belong here.

 

its not really worst moderated, but at times i see mods not available and thats the time where spammers enjoy out here, so probably if there is some way this forum can have 24hrs moderation and time duration given to particular mod with rotations , could be helpful to the community.

 

Actually, it's a growing community and I figure the mods cant be at it 24/7. It's been OK for me, but then I don't read nearly as much as i used to.

I did recently post to an Adsense thread somewhere here (I cant find it now) but my post was laced with vitriol, and I suspect either the post or the thread has been removed, so there's a mod somewhere pushing buttons

In a nutshell, it could be worse.

there has to be some provision for it, i mean the bigger the forum grows more mods and more time for moderation will b required.

anyone who send abusive comments give them super member status and those who complain give them infraction .. and worst is you never know who is abusing you cause its annonymous .(however in case of isp there is always sender info and you can block them)

websites like forums mainly depends on maintaince this forum is top so it clear all this forum leaders are working hard.Recently one rep guy absued me directly in 1 post later that post was edited and thread was closed Mods do censor posts if required.

...but if they are using abusive language while giving you red rep, that is not something the moderators even see so of course they can't moderate it. As for the language that exists in the threads, I have seen very little abusive language expressed, and when I have, the offender usually has been banned. So my feeling is that DP is moderated quite well.
