Hi, Basically i need a stats system building where i can put a piece of javascript in the head of a website and the amount of unique visitors are counted, where they have come from e.g. google, yahoo, direct etc, which country and most importantly if the visitor is a business i need the business name catching. I have seen this done before as IP addresses can be traced to a company name if they are a business. Then if they are a business i need the business telephone number and website addrerss tracing somehow. Only if you can definitely do this, please contact me. Cheers, Adam
I don't think that is possible. The IP addresses belong to the ISP's and I am pretty sure they won't tell you who their customers are and what IP they have. Good Luck though.
Check out maxmind or geoip for ip geolocation services. You can find out maybe not exactly the pure location, but the general vicinity of where someone is located. I built such a system 4 years ago.
Sometimes, if a business if big enough, they will buy a block of IP addresses from a large ISP and they will be identified by a custom hostname. 111-111-111-111.bigcorp.com or something similar. Otherwise, there is no guarantee they will identified.
I know what you are talking about. Something like livetraffic / Web traffic analyzer .. Something like http://www.netfactor.com/visitor-track/product-demo Code (markup): I've prepared a short project proposal / feature list for you - please find below. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/36908950/MiniProposal-TrafficTracker.pdf Code (markup): Further details about our past experience, websites etc shall be dropped to your PM Box. Cheers.
