President Bush Fan Club because he is not all bad

I wanted to start this thread because I see so much criticism of President Bush. I am not trying to say everything he has done is perfect, but he has done some positive things as well that seemed to be ignored. Please post here anything positive that you like about President Bush.

I will start it off by saying what I like is that he took Saddam Hussein out of power. Saddam was the ultimate terrorist.
If President Bush had not invaded, Saddam would have killed more innocent civilians than this war has caused. Then, when Saddam is to old to reign he would have turned his power over to another dictator as evil as himself. This one act of getting Saddam may have saved generations of people.

Maybe some will agree and some will not, but I do believe that. So thanks President Bush!:)

What do you like about President Bush?

To be positive, wouldn't he have to do more positive things than negative?

We are talking about the President of the United States, right?

No, you don't have to list every single thing President Bush has every done and average it out. Just list one single thing you like about him. Still waiting for anyone to say anything positive about President Bush:)

If there is only one thing you like about him, but you hate everything else then list the one positive thing here...

I like how he(or his administration) at least cut taxes a little, it did not go far enough though and to counteract it the size of the government increased 30% just during the first 4 years of his presidency.

I just searched on the internet for over an hour trying to find anyone saying anything nice about President Bush. It was very difficult but I came up with this.

"Because I voted for him and I still believe in him. He is a good man and has gone the distance to protect our way of life by taking the war to them and keeping us safe on our own turf. What else is there to say? I mean I am pretty much able to carry on as I did before 9-11. The terrorists cannot say that nor can those that harbor them. I am proud of our President and am proud to be an American."
    I found it here

So far we have that he captured Saddam, he lowered taxes and fights terrorism. That is not all bad:)

Don't you know that you shouldn't believe everything that you read on the Internet? Your quote proved the point. :)

How many lives would it have cost not capturing him?

Should we do away with police as well since they do get killed in the line of duty, and while we're at it a fireman's job is pretty dangerous, maybe even cab drivers, they put their neck on the line every night. Imagine a world without cab drivers.

American lives probably about zero, Iraqi lives probably less then are dying now

You can pretty much say with cofidence that more Iraqis are dying and being tortured now then under saddam.

I am not sure exactly, but I think it is around 3000. I am saddened by the loss of American lives and think the Iraqis should have taken Saddam out themselves. Also, I am not trying to say taking Saddam out was worth 3000 American lives, I am just realizing what is done is done and trying to find something positive out of it. I think that is better to do, than to say that we lost 3000 lives for nothing.
