    because it's show all data majesticseo have, but, maybe you wanna ask why not use fresh index?
    it's because fresh index only show recent 45 days only backlinks come, so not realiable too, just up to you use fresh or historic.

    just move cursor to circle but don't click it will show information about two option we are talking like image below.
    historic index.jpg
    fresh.jpg
    we can see information both option
    use historic index = "The Historic index contain all the data we have"
    use fresh index = "The fresh index is updated daily and contain data from the last 45 days"
